I predict a full partnership with Sony or Microsoft.

All EA games will be on one console. My guess? Microsoft. Msoft needs a big investment to make the XB1 stand out.

If this came to be then the deal would be massive, and the potential would be out of this world. Before anyone says "not going to happen" look at Blizzard going to Activision. It's possible.

Will it be something this big? Probably not. These GA's are always over hyped.

It literally is not possible.

Firstly, all their sports license agreements require multiplatform status, so that's done. All of EA Sports ends. So they've butchered the value of the company anyway, then you've aligned the sales of the remaining games to a platform being thrashed worldwide, further destroying company value.

Do you really believe that could even be taken to a board of directors without a CEO being fired, let alone ever happen?

This sounds more insane than Origin merging with Steam. I'm also confused by your Blizzard going to Activision analogy. How is that at all similar?

This. It would be absolutely idiotic unless MS just outright acquired the company.

But blizzard going to activision did not limit blizzards userbase. They still have games published on the platforms they want (battle.net). EA going to MS would cut their sales by more than half. Why would they throw away that much market share?

It would be like an app developer saying screw Apple and Android, and just developing for windows phones.

It better be Mirror's Edge
coming this March
with the instant sprint glitch now being a fully implemented feature

Or Battlefront.

The first Underground wasn't open world but it pretty much featured the same tracks/areas over and over just like a typical open world racer. Underground 2 was open world. Was pretty solid but its world felt small (more than likely due to PS2's limitations).

It's possible to have both; open world + closed tracks that are unique in their own way -- "Open world" being the format to get to the closed tracks/events instead of making the events feel "open world" too.

EA Entering the console-making business. Will Run on Origin, as opposed to Steam's Steambox. Will partner with numerous electronics companies to make Origin Machines.

What I'm hoping for: Mirror's Edge 2 release date and trailer

What I'm expecting: Sequel to a game that sold really well.

I'd be thrilled with The Old Republic being ported to PS4. But sadly I really just expect them to gloat over Ubi now being the worst publisher.

Shareholders would sue the shit out of EA for doing that.

Could be a Titanfall port with reloaded, complete, 1.5, max, etc. added to allow them to claim they never lied when they said it was not a timed exclusive.
