Yep, called all the ones near me and none of them would put one on hold for me and by the time I got to any of them they were already sold out. Did get find this guy so not a total waste of time.

Hmm I have my wave 3 preordered from best buy for in store pick up. Considering trying to call and see if I can get that hanged to ship to home. Im concerned they will get canceled otherwise...

Two fellow Amiibo hunters came into my job today huntin' for some of Wave 2. We still haven't gotten any in though, so I had to turn them down. Still got plenty of the regular ol' Wave 1 crowd though.

This is for the Walmart in Miramar, FL.

I was just about to ask if anyone had seen a wave 2 at a Walmart yet. When I was searching last week, I checked several Walmarts and none had received any wave 2 at that time.

Was so close to getting a Pit today. Local GameStop got shipment of some today, called, denied to have one put on hold, drove there with hopes held high, and was told the last Pit was sold 5minutes prior to my arrival.

Went back to the South County(St Louis, MO area) TRU today and got the last Fox. Still tons of Luigi and a good four or five Zelda. But no more Fox or Pikachu, no new stuff like Pit or rare stuff like WFT. There was a peg for Little Mac but it was empty.

People wanting the more common Amiibos should take advantage of that sale before it ends though. Still buy one get 40% off one for all Amiibos. Which means you get one for like $6.50, and you can do it more than once which really adds up if you're getting Mario, Link, DK, Kirby, etc all at once.

Did you try the target and TRUs near the area in Pembroke? Last time I was there TRU had some luigis and Zeldas, I got my Falcon in target, they had some Diddies too, that was last week though.

Thanks for the advice yesterday night, those who responded. I went ahead and preordered everything I could on Amazon. Even if they come late, it's better than having orders cancelled elsewhere or hunting in stores like ice been doing.

Still out of luck as far as retailer exclusives go, unfortunately.

As for my Best Buy "store pickup" experience today:

Captain Falcon was there and I received it.

The lady was frantically looking for my Pit. She even said, "I saw it specifically here earlier with your name on it." Well, guess what? Gone. The only thing that could have happened was some idiot employee either A) Kept it for themselves or B) Took my name off and sold it to a friend.

Either way, I wasn't happy. I'm going to blast them a new one in the "How was your recent store pickup experience?" survey.

I heard few cases that people got Pit with semi-brown hands (due to weapon's paints) but it wouldn't be noticeable if you look at it normal.

My friend's pit had a mole on his left arm but it's not big deal tho.

A gamestop 2.4 miles from me has pit according to the website.

Greensboro NC.

I'm not really interested in him though, and I need to save funds for the next wave.

I spotted them there today as well. Didn't get either because I'm just not interested in those particular figures and I'm not interested in scalping them either.

Felt odd walking away from a Wii Fit Trainer after hearing so much hoopla about it on GAF lol

To anyone who had their wave 2B TRU preorders reinstated after the cancelations, have any of you gotten any update on them?

I had kinds forgot about it due to life stuff, but realized I still don't have my Pit or C Falcon from them in hand. They're still listed as "on hold until release date: 12/21/2014."

I managed to score a Falcon already, but I still don't have a Pit, and I'm starting to get a little worried here. I'll probabky try to shoot their CS an email late.

I almost did not by a Wii U today because of these things. I completely thought that you had to buy these guys to unlock the character in Smash Bros. I couldn't believe that they would put Mario, Link, Pikachu. etc as characters you had to pay extra for.
Thankfully this thread set me straight.

It will ship without a doubt. Amazon is just super slow at processing these. None of my preorders of wave 2 shipped on day 1. I just got my order of Captain Falcon that I got the day he was thrown up on the site for preorder.

As I doubt my Pit will arrive to BB, I quickly ordered one of Amazon. Thanks for the heads up! Should BB come through I can just return the one to Amazon.

Managed to find a Captain Falcon amiibo in the wild at Toys R Us. They seem to be the only store around here that even stocks any decent amiibo. Every other store just has Mario/Peach/Pikachu/Donkey Kong and nothing else.

They just get more as their section is larger than anywhere else.

I got cpt falcon at target and fox at BB.
