Bloodborne launch trailer

I would never do such a thing!

I would only PM-harass you until you tell me where you live so that I may come and join you :3

Do you have the US digital version on order? I saw you had ordered a bunch of versions, but not digital?

I got the US digital and my hard copy Collector's Edition from Webhallen (who have sometimes shipped games out early). I also ordered the strategy guide from Webhallen.

It's pretty amazing how very little we truly know about this game a week or so before release. Sony and From have done a marvelous job of leak control. It's only now that some people actually have the game that we're getting even basic information on it.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

Hold the fuck up. I thought Amazon had strategy guide exclusivity? Should I cancel my order for it? 'cuz right now I'm paying like 460:- for the guide from Amazon

Yeah I saw you had that ordered on Amazon. I was surprised to see it on Webhallen. No clue how they got it, but it's available for 249:-. Unfortunately it releases on the 15th of April.

I gave this advice earlier in the thread and I still stand by it^^

"Every one is different, so it is possible this game may not be up you ally. For me, I have bought, played, and failed to beat every game in the series thus far, but I still feel inclined to get this day one. For me it is the art, setting, and atmosphere that has me interested and the fact that my younger brother is picking it up means that for the first time I will have a co op buddy to help me through the hard times. My advice? Have one of you buddies share play it to you so you can try it out for an hour or two with them giving you hints and advice where you need it. If you dig it, buy it and play it co op with them^^"

The release date sucks, but damn, I checked how much I would pay for the guide (with the quickest shipping) and it's 580 SEK... THAT'S 66 AMERICAN DOLLARS FOR A GUIDE BOOK. Fuck that. I'm canceling my order and buying it for 40 bucks cheaper on Webhallen. You just saved me a bunch of food-money, I owe you big time.

It might have been posted already but I'll do it again just in case people missed it.

It's about performance and graphics.

Last few things I want to clarify. People were worried that there might be a graphics downgrade. I played the alpha and now the real thing, and I can tell you that the game looks even better. In the alpha I noticed that there were some unifnished rendering on character clothing and some environmental things, but now I'm looking at the clothing textures and also the environment and 80% of my time spent in Bloodborne as of now is just looking around to all the attention to detail. It's a beautiful looking game with sublime music. You guys are in for a treat considering that day 1 is gonna improve performance as well.
Frame rate wise, its been a solid 30fps so far and I'm already used to the control and love the speed of the game. everything you do, and what the enemies do is just atleast 2-3 times faster than the previous entries.

45 hours seems a little bit short for a Souls game...

I finished Dark Souls in 45 hours a couple times too (even under 40 hours) and it didn't ever feel short to me.

Also, whoever finished it in 45 hours could have rushed the game. Reminds me of that 5 hour talk we had with the Order 1886. Took me 9 hours to beat that one.

The majority of people's time in Souls games, especially their first, is spent figuring things out. Once you know how these games go down, the first play through is much smoother. 40-50 hours for a playthough of a game that will most likely warrant additional playthoughs sounds amazing to me.

has anyone seen a shield yet?

Beat Demons in 30 hours.

Played for 2 years

Beat Dark after 2 years finally, took 28 hours.

Couldn't stomach Dark 2 enough to finish.

Finish time means nothing in these games. They can be forever played. And really with the Chalice Dungeon, which seems to be infinitely replayable. You'll be good to go.
