What a bunch of MOTHERFUCKERS.

Saddest thing is there's no stink we can make that will make them care. They give no fucks about the gaming industry or any PR problems they may get.

Yeah with that username and avy Im sure youll wait for MGSV. Why are there so many people saying (bullshitting) that they wont get MGSV out of spite? Its dumb and youre only gonna expose yourself later when you grab the game

Did i once say i will not grab the game? No. I said i will cancel my CE. I still plan on getting the game, but the CE wont be part of that option anymore. I could grab it preowned where konami barely getss anything, or a new copy from a local connection which will minimize profits konami gets from this.

Essentially it was a protected email between Super Bunnyhop and an alleged Konami employee describing the conditions at Konami (in short, poor to abysmal). When it first came out I was a bit wary because there wasn't any real way to know if the person was actually a Konami employee, but with this? Kinda feeling like it may have been on point.

Just a quick correction, George (Bunnyhop) confirmed and assured us that the source was, in fact, a Konami employee. Only the info in the email was unverifiable, not the source. George does his due diligence when it comes to reporting, so I say it's safe to believe him on this one.

Ah, my mistake, I remembered one part being questionable. I'll add this to my post in case anyone is reading up.

I said you wont wait for it, trust me I know youll buy it. I really have a hard time believing that youll even cancel your CE. You wont wait till it goes pre owned either, you got the itch. Kojimas team still made the game so if you want to totally ignore the game based on your views thats fine, but I have a hard time believing that you and others that come into these threads threatening to not buy it new/buy it pre owned will actually follow through.

"The Streisand effect is the phenomenon whereby an attempt to hide, remove, or censor a piece of information has the unintended consequence of publicizing the information more widely, usually facilitated by the Internet."

Konami is so out of touch with reality right now, they're practically stuck in their own nightmarish version of Silent Hill.

Konami have been such pieces of crap about this stuff.

I'm sorry and I dont like insulting people or devs like this, but they have been disgusting through this whole process.

oh trust me cancelling the CE is easier then you think. just two clicks. Only benefit of the CE is a DVD i will never watch and an arm. That stuff wont matter since everything else is available in a normal edition.

The point im trying to hit home with is that konami is getting to that point where i rather not fork out the extra money and just get a base model

The people who made the game will be paid regardless of how well or bad the game sells. They are also getting fired regardless of how well or bad the game sells. You are only encouraging Konami to keep doing what they are doing if you buy the game.

There's nothing to encourage because they're gone either way, MGSV selling well justifies Kojima, MGSV selling like crap only re-enforces Konami's path to pachinko is the right one.

Everything is rumors and speculation, but it only gets worse when you try to silence all of it.

Well if anything, thanks Konami. You reminded us that it does get worse than EA and Ubisoft, and yes, despite Nintendo's copious mistakes, there are still further steps that can be taken to make things even worse.

Wow. This shit is more entertaining than anything they've published in years. Oh, Konami... how far you've fallen. I remember when you were one of my favs.

Ugh, what shitty behavior from Konami.

They may be leaving the console space but I hope their poor practice catches up to them in whatever else field they happen to occupy

Konami obviously appears to be trash of the n'th degree. But I can't not support Metal Gear Solid 5, for two reasons:

1) It's my favorite franchise

2) Kojima. He pours his heart & soul into this work and I believe that he does it as much for us, as he does for his paycheck and the company. The guy legitimately tries to create works of art; stories that inundate the mind. It'd be just as bad for Kojima if nobody experienced the artwork he's put so much time and effort into, as it would be for Konami.

At least that's how I imagine it to be. I've been around the industry for quite a while, and Hideo is one guy who really puts his heart into what he does. His real dream/passion was to be a director; gaming is his adopted outlet for that passion.

This is delicious. They're basically saying everything in the video is true by filing that copyright strike. The company itself hardly qualifies as a game publisher these days. Kojima Productions is the only part of the company that is worthwhile in the games sector. Given how shitty their practices have been over the years, I hope all this catches up with them. It's a shame because they used put out great stuff.

Wait, what video?

...

Oh. Well, I hadn't seen it. Thanks for bringing it back into the news, Konami! I had no idea that by trying to stifle information on the internet you often bring that information to light for more people than ever before.

Nah, they still want MGS 5 to sell, so they'll use it as advertising.

True, but if they keep pulling this shit on YouTube the Streisand Effect will only continue to draw negative attention towards them leading up to E3, and that would only make the result a mess for them. Unless they start today by going quiet on all things P.T./Silent Hill/Kojima E3 will certainly result in more negative publicity for them than anything positive that could be spun about MGS 5.

Though knowing Konami, they'll do whatever the OPPOSITE of the safe, rational, predictable choice is.

Considering Jim Sterling's story of Konami blacklisting him this doesn't surprise me one little bit. Someone at the top of the company seems to be very petty.

This "Feud" or whatever is really giving me a bad taste in my mouth. Fucking Konami

Konami is Now on my Shit List along with Ubisoft and LJN
