Don't lose faith so fast.
exactly. the question isn't "will they show games". it's that, "what games will they show?"
i don't doubt a lot of pubs and devs would want their games shown on the sony press conference. they are fighting for screen time, and it's up to playstation to choose which ones are the most interesting to show.
now, since it's also (and mostly) a business type of show, it would not surprise me if they showed a lot of 3rd party games (hey-o partners) like battlefront, mad max/just cause, etc. and leave the "interesting" games on psx where they basically have more freedom since the big fall/holiday games have released by then and they can showcase games like "what remains of edith finch" and "wattam" and "drawn to death" and "until dawn".
still, here's hoping we'll see a plethora and breadth and now that most pubs have their own press conferences, we'll see less shoot-bang and more variety.
it's what makes playstation shine. it's not focusing on a demographic or showing the same types of games or appealing to the same type of audience. they have something for everyone and hopefully they'll show that at all of their conferences including e3.
