Extremely pleased I held off from a day one purchase.

Been burned too many times with online games and ports being done by random JobberCrew#Eleventy7.

Stop hiring outside shit stain companies to do these ports. They clearly do not know wtf they are doing. Waste of money, waste of time, bad stain on your reputation, and now?

90% chance I'm not day 1 buying SF5 unless that beta is through the roof amazing for online.

I hope everyone wisens the fuck up, says fuck you and your shit money grub horse shit, and runs the game on 360. If I was forced to play the PS4 version as a Decapre player I'd pitch a fucking fit at an event.

Honestly the game isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Yes there are things wrong with the port. Well guess what remember when games were ported to other systems and there were issues with those ports. The same applies here. I know it's a different time now and there's really no excuse and that's right, at the end of the day between deadlines and pressure probably this shit happens. To be fair the gameplay is pretty solid and I've enjoyed my matches thus far beyond the problems mentioned. If you want to play SFIV on your PS4 and have no other option really this is not a bad deal.

I think the real bummer is that evo is married to this shitty port. If it was just a bad port no one would play it it's the fact that people may have to play it.

Welp...at least folks might finally move on to some other game now at least. I'd really enjoy seeing folks start pushing into Blaz Blue, Guilty Gear and Skullgirls. :kappa:

Sorry, I'm not a fan of SF4 and that was dickish to even joke about. I actually hope it gets fixed and folks can get what they paid for and get to enjoy what they like even if its a game I just dont connect with. I don't care what someone is into. If they paid for it then it should by God work. Games coming out completely broken like this are really becoming more the norm than the exception and that is TERRIBLE for the industry as a whole. This stuff happening repeatedly just trains the public to stop supporting games at launch further deepening the difficulties in have successful launches and profitable games.

People need to stop hiring cheap 3rd party to port titles.

No, it is actually.
- "Hey guys, we fixed the input lag!" * input lag is present*
- Menus are extremely slow for some reason.
- Bunch of graphical issues
- Multi hitting moves are doing an inconsistent amount of hits (Dudley's MGB, Chun's legs, Honda's hands)
- Decapre's teleport barely goes anywhere
- Online is really buggy.
- An insane amount of glitches

This port is straight up terrible. No way around it.

But all the issues are fairly minor and will get patched. I'm practically sure of that. Like I said, the gameplay is mainly solid. I was busting all my Guy target combos and links no problem (was using a PS4 stick). There should be some praise there for making the gameplay solid from a strange 3rd party company most people haven't heard of. If anything this company did a decent job, who knows what went behind the scenes between them and Capcom. Maybe Capcom didn't give them enough direction with the port, or they just did a crappy job. It's so hard to tell.

We need someone to modify this

Another good one

Just put 360's under the table at EVO and pretend your playing the PS4
Sixfortyfive you are the savior of EVO. I laughed but you know what...this might just work if they tried it.

Console patch process takes so long that they would need to send in the fix in the next 2 weeks to be there in time for EVO.

So we got two bad ports in one day.
That's amazingly rude toward the GGXXAC+R port. Yeah it's a bit wonky with controllers and the online code blows (but so did the console version) but it more or less works.

USF4 on the PS4, on the other hand... woof.

The patch certification process has been streamlined a lot over the last few years, although it's still far longer than it needs to be (especially with certification in multiple regions). Look at how many updates have been pushed out to MKX as it is. It's way better than it was with stuff like SFxT where the game introduced a showstopper bug and it took a month to get a fix out.

I think it's pretty hilarious how, despite how many updates behind the version is (and the hardware it's on), the 3DS version is even a better port than the PS4 version (and released with no bugs to require them to patch it). That's what gets me -- a port to a handheld released over 4 years ago is better than this one that's released now on much better hardware. It's crazy.

James Chen was singing on stream. I might play another time and just DFO while I watch. Just like Chris Hu, he has the voice of an angel.

MKX has some type of hotfix loophole where they can skip the console patch process for smaller things doesn't it?

Just saw this, since it's a Sony published title I think they can circumvent the certification process for patches.

The thing is, do the increased input lag and inconsistencies in hitboxes/moves mean that there are some fundamental issues with the port, as opposed to just not spending enough time in QA for bug fixing? Fixing sound glitches and projectiles going invisible seems like a different thing than fixing input lag or poor performance.

Didn't Konami have to basically re-do the ZOE2 port because it was so garbage?

Are you me? Those epics aren't going to farm themselves plus I get to listen to the angelic symphony of UltraChen

I dunno, are your only characters 4 F Fighters and are you imprinted at a young age to appreciate the Thunder Thigh? If so, then yes you are me.

Oh please. Your experience does not equal everyone's experience.

If the majority has online net code issues? Guess what? The online sucks ass.

But that's not here or there. That's what would define MY purchase, but the bigger issue here is that this is the version going on at Evo the biggest FGC tournament of them all. Tons of money is on the line.

If I was Infiltration for example, who is an amazing Decapre player and players here quite often at events to get to finals, etc... I would be boycotting this trash version due to the issues for her teleport which is essential to her mix up game.

This shouldn't have happened to begin with. It seems like a brain dead easy game to port over.

It's time like this the voice of the people playing this game needs to be heard. Sony wants to throw $ into the ring? Great. However, if you want us to play your version then you need to make it on par to the 360 version. Otherwise GTFO we're running it on 360, but you can keep all your sponsoring yadda yadda and we won't mention on stream what we are playing on. Cool? Cool.

So apparently the base Sagat in the PS4 version is Vanilla Sagat unless you do Edition Select...

LMAO. Okay this can't even be a "whoopsie" at this point. These guys did this shit on purpose. How in the fuck does that get past QA testing? You didn't notice the ridiculous damage, recovery, etc?

GG. Anyone defending this port has to be out of their mind. :/
