Meh not a big fan of Platinum.

It's probably a smaller title published by a third party. It definitely isn't going to be a first-party project to be announced on an IGN show by themselves.

Says gameplay reveal, makes me think announced but no footage shown at the conference/ event whatever.

Also the 16th isnt that the same day as nintendo's digital event?

Has any big games been revealed on IGN's show before? Maybe Konami's little to no presence at E3 they might want to stick MGR2 somewhere (if it is MGR2). But part of me thinks they'd prefer to reveal MGR2 at a Microsoft or Sony event,so probably not a major title? Possibly a Nintendo title?

Capcom if you have Platinum making DMC5 I will almost be ready to forgive you for Mega Man Legends 3. Almost.

Crossover with Bayonetta plz

I hope it isn't Rising 2, unless they actually make it good this time. I stopped playing that game after beating Monsoon. It had been a snorefest for half the time before that. Annoying mechanics, samey combat, drab visuals, generic electronic buzz music, repetitive whiny story, etc. I don't get the love at all. So far below other Platinum games.

So you quit before the fights with Sam and Armstrong and you don't get why people love the game. GOTCHA.

This'll be another Nintendo fuckfest where their E3 Direct is long and monotonous and full of games we already know about having their features re-explained with little-to-no teasing of new titles or even big announced titles we just want to hear more on.

Then there will be an IGN stream and be all like "oh yeah here's The Mysterious Murasame Castle: Revengeance from platinum exclusive to wii u".

Indeed.

I'm thinking a Bayonetta spin off or something. I mean time wise, I'm not sure they even have the man power to have a big AAA ish game ready to show the gameplay of a year after Bayonetta 2/LoK was released. I mean kamiya is orking on Scalebound, it took ages to see the first Bayonetta gameplay after it was announced we still haven't seen Scalebound gameplay.

This game being so far along, if it's large in scope seems a bit odd.

It depends on what you mean by "large in scope"

Anarchy Reigns, Metal Gear Rising and W101 were all released within a year of each other. And until Sega got cold feet, all were intended to be major retail releases.

Considering they recently shipped Bayonetta, their core team is working on Scalebound and the game is in playable state, I think it going to be a minor proyect like Legend of Korra.

I suspect it's not a Nintendo-published game, because they probably wouldn't phrase the announcement like this. It'd be a "reveal of a new Nintendo game" or something.

Worst case scenario is mobile for the lean times. If Rising 2 is indeed dead, they might need something to keep the lights on in the meantime.

They could be better than any fights in DMC or Bayonetta. That doesn't mean there should be a borefest price of admission.

Metal Gear was for all intents and purposes a rush job. W101 was a different team to MGR, and Anarchy reigns, reigns is a multiplayer brawler, so I imagine it didn't have have as much content as say a game like Bayonetta would have.

As far as can tell them have 2 large teams and at least one smaller one (the team the produced Legend of Korra), so far in this generation they haven't exactly been churning out games outside of the usual alternating teams system.

Then why IGN just didnt say a publisher then?

Poster didn't like the game, but they should have to continue playing a game they don't like to get to the "good part"? GOTCHA. I loved MGR but come on.
