Honestly hoping this was all a troll from the beginning to gauge interest. If nobody cared, release the PC port. If people flip the fuck out (like they did), then greenlight the remake. It's genius.

Didn't someone say that the whole FF7 overarching storyline and mythos have been completely retconned and reinterpreted by games such as Crisis Core and the films? etc. So much so that the original FF7 storyline doesn't really fit in.

I assume if they remade it they'd include the idea of the ultimania plot and re translation....I don't even want XV level graphics. Eugh.
Probably the port release. Which I'd probably get. Maybe a Vii compilation collection on ps4 with DoC, Ff7, Crisis Core, AC etc with high res textures, higher poly models and stuff. Not a remake but close enough.
