I honestly don't feel like giving them my money after all this. Wanted to wait for it to get patched, but nah. For shame, really. Some pretty bad taste in mouth. Might as well go back to playing The Witcher 3 or Tales From the Borderlands Ep 3. Had planned out the next several days dedicated to AK, but not anymore I guess.

WB can shove it.

I dunno if being a PC gamer for a couple years will make you grow a spine.

thanks for the laugh
I'm goign to post this on the performance thread too, but... I'm actually doing pretty good on my end.

GTX 780ti 3770k and running at 1440p. Playing on borderless window mode no Vscyn no in game AA (using FXAA from Nvidia panel).

Everything as high as it goes (textures at normal) but only Nvidia rain and light effects.

Getting avg 55 FPS. WAS getting some awful stutter, but now only when using the batmobile. Also getting some textture pop-in, and occasionally it takes textures forever to load.

Other than that It's been pretty good, smooth, veyr little stutter (mostly when in the batmobile, so I'm avoiding batmobile missions). But I just finished playing na hour fo the game, and it's pretty good. Still nto what it should be, but I think I'm going to keep playing, at least until the game starts to force me into the batmobile more.

Tried locking to 30 FPS. Tried playing on my friend's Xbone.

Sorry, console gamers but 30 FPS is just the worst thing ever. Not willing to go from 55 even with a few stutters to 30.

So not the end of the world, but these guys need to release a patch soon.

this is some awful system wars apologism. it's one thing to swear off the standards console gamers have to deal with, it's another to chew on the sour lemon that is this shit show of a port and force yourself to smile.

Lol, the fuck are you on. A few stutters once in a while over the cours eof my last hour of gameplay does in in any way shape or form = smiling through "sour lemon that is this shit port".

There are still some serious issues. These issues do NOT, in my estimation, detract enough from (non batmobile) gameplay for me to enjoy the game, at least for now.

I'm not apologizing for the major issues in this game, but I'll take the 55 FPS with occasional stuttering over the console's 30 FPS any day of the week (I was offered the Xbone version to borrow).

Now, hopefully I won't have put up with the shitty port for too much longer, and neither will any of us. It's a shitty port, that is playable and still fun for me, right now (since I'm avoiding batmobile missions), simple as that.

Just last month, The Witcher 3 on XB1 ran like shit but at least they fixed it within a week. I wonder how long it's gonna take to fix this. There's a lot more than just the frame rate that's messed up in this game.

Tried on 3 different machines. One with SSD didn't seem to have stuttering issues to the degree the other two didn't. FPS when the game works was smooth as hell problem is the consistency.

For a pc port the lack of ao, fps limit, stuttering, and iq issues should've been something seen before charging people money like they did.

This looks like system wars + 1 <_<

"As long as you're not playing the X1 version, huh right guys?"

I got the game for free with my GPU, so I'm glad I didn't blow $60 on this shitty port. I've decided that if a fix isn't talked about officially or found by the community before tomorrow afternoon, I'm probably going to go ahead and grab my PS4 copy. I know I shouldn't give WB money after this shitshow, but I've been waiting for this for too long to see those first two hours and then wait weeks for a fix.

If I had actually bought it on PC though, that would be a whole other story.

This bums me out that it's such a hopelessly shitty port... Was in the mood for a break from Witcher 3. Might replay Arkham City but I'm not touching this for a while.

I got this for 'free' along with my Nvidia card.

I am doubly angry that I cannot show WB my displeasure.

I may just buy this on a friend's account and then ask for a refund.

Wait, I thought Valve indicated on the store page if there's third party DRM? There's no indication of Denuvo anywhere there, so basically I was wrong to think they always did that, and now I have to research this for every game I want to buy on Steam. Wonderful. :(

WOW. Wow.
What's the time stamp on this one? On my iPad and it's not automatically linking. Anyway, I'm really irritated I can't play Batman well right now. At least I have the Witcher.

Not like they did KI or anything, nah.

Actually, they didn't, Double Helix built the game, Iron Galaxy just stepped in to build KI season two on an existing framework once DH was bought by Amazon.

Edit: Iron Galaxy also did the PC port of Arkham Origins, which wasn't as busted as this, but also had a ton of problems.

Fucking mad, preordered and had been hyped for months, made weekend plans for it, only to get this pile of poo.

I put my money down in faith of Rocksteady and the solid PC version of last two batman games, only to find WB find a cheap ass 3rd party to handle their major release this year.

A cheap ass D-tier studio known for F-up ports,
For their absolutely major release in the year.

What're they thinking?

They either are too greedy/stupid or just dont care. Or both.

Seriously, even if they delayed the PC version to get it right, I would not feel so bad.

This is just like watching a porno and getting punched in the balls right when the action starts.

YOU JUST WATCH THEM HAVING FUN WHILE WAITING IN PAIN AND HOPING YOUR THING WILL BE FUNCTIONAL LATER.

FUK!

I really hope that this actually sends Warner Bros a message... Or at the very least, that PC reviews water-down the metascore with <50 scores.

This is, honestly, one of the most egregious and morally disgusting things I've seen out of a game company in a while. At least when Valve makes mistakes, they have good intentions.

This wasn't an accident or an oversight - this was Warner Bros intentionally shipping a broken product.

That needs to have consequences, or the AAA game industry is fucked.

I7, 980 and I get stutters and crashes.
I really want to be outraged but it's hard when I have a ton of Summer Sale back log.
I really find it funny that this game was so heavily promoted on the PC with the Nvidia promotions.

Sounds like this is less Rocksteady and more Bebop.

Shame, too, because I was pretty hyped after finishing up Arkham Asylum + City.

Everyone that is having issues hould just refund it. Now that we can refund things on Steam, consumers can show their disapproval for shitty PC ports and hit the dev/publisher right in their wallets so they know not to do such a poor job

Batman Arkham and Origin games seem to suffer on PC when it comes to DX11 technologies. Xbox is getting a DX12 upgrade once it's coded so maybe that will improve the experience on PC.

Seeing as how Iron Galaxy is mentioned I presume they're responsible for maintaining the Xbox and PC versions.

You've reached a new low with this. Jesus.

Edit: And just for the record, no-drops, correct-frame-time 30FPS > anything above it marred by stutter.

LOL no way would the vast majority of players ever notice that if it wasn't pointed out to them.

Just because you're nearly blind doesn't mean everyone else is. There's a difference between caring about and not being able to notice
