Quantum Break Gameplay (Gamescom 2015)

Thread has gone to shit.....again...was good, then came the PC port begging and now the X PS4 game looks better.

Look i ain't participating in said games (prettiest game nonsense), but i invite you to visit the very first page of this thread, checkout a poster that goes "best looking game ever" or some such... well you can't really get upset when other members disagree and mention other games that may or may not be more visually impressive. Just look at the whole picture.

IMO ms has shown more original exclusives then Sony for this year and next. Sony had a good E3 show, but the big titles they showed IMO were 66% vaporware...

1. shenmue is years away from being a reality. It was cool for its to.e but the gameplay by today's standard wouldn't hold up.
2. The last gaurdian was the same demo shown years ago on ps3. It's probably years from being ready if they couldn't show anything new.
3. FF7 remake. It was the most amazing game when it released but a remake doesn't resonate with me. It's cool, but I'd prefer less remakes and more new things to see.

These were the biggest titles Sony had at e3. Outside of uncharted, what else does the ps4 have?

Nothing on the Horizon.

Horizon?
Dreams?
And I can say about Crackdown the same thing you've said about TLG, they only showed concept, it's likely to be delayed as much as TLG if not even more so.

But please, this is not the topic for such things, QB looks incredible and it deserves the attention.

You think Crackdown is likely to get delayed as much as TLG?...this thread.

OK, I agree.

Agree! Youtube doesn't do any game justice, but that is such a higher quality clip.

Yea it looked super early, at least there was a gameplay demonstration with TLG, here it's just a promotional video EA style, they didn't show anything substantial or un-edited.

That time lapse is so good.

Bruh, I can't even. This just too much.

These M$ exclusives just don't do it for me. Nothing in comparison to Uncharted

Hahaha, I wonder how many fell for this.

After 6 years, though.

Crackdown was announced a year ago, had gameplay this year and a beta next year. lmao. be real.

Anyways, I'm ready for some Remedy TPSness and yeah, that time lapse was nuts and they got a nice cast for the live action portion. Can't come soon enough.

There was a live on stage gameplay demo of Crackdown at the Xbox Faintest after the keynote.

OK, maybe I misunderstood you to mean Crackdown will be delayed as much as TLG has (years of delays...cancellation rumors)...I guess you meant delayed from where TLG is now. If so, my mistake. Although I still think Crackdown will ship close to their target (could definitely get delayed, but don't see more than one delay). Anyway, this thread isn't about that, so back to QB.

That time lapse is so good.

"Will's here, even when he's gone. A puzzle trapped in broken time. Glimpses of the first prototype machine. The origin of time travel. Something wen't horribly wrong here, but its scrambled. Impossible to crack."

That whole ending sequence of the demo was amazing.

Need that sequence as direct feed, I'm pumped for the story for this.

It looks technically amazing.

But the gameplay looks so uninspired. I can tell I won't enjoy playing it. I will give it a chance but I have little optimism.

I don't care about hiding poly counts or lower resolutions or whatever technical limitations Remedy's black magic voodoo is working in the background....just by visuals alone - artistic...stylistic - however you want to quantify it - that is the most impressive console game I've ever seen, and right now the only console I own is a PS4.

I think Uncharted 4 and Horizon look brilliant but this was completely jaw dropping. Made me want to go out and buy a XB1.

I think u4 and horizon are by far better on the tech side. The shown physics in the uncharted 4 demo are another world. In this Trailer is physicaly not much going on.
This gigantic wave shown in the gif don't effects other objects. It just stretches everything.

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
That live action trailer looks legit. Love all those actors they have selected.

The lighting, texturing, and modeling, definitely look like a step up from Uncharted 4. The character models actually look better than the ones in Uncharted 4 which really surprised me given how awful they were in Alan Wake. I think this looks better than Uncharted 4, but the world feels much more alive in Uncharted 4. I noticed in one scene that the leaves are completely stiff.

The stylized action really gives me that feel when I saw the first Max Payne. I'm kind of surprised there isn't a whole lot of physics in the game world since I think Max Payne was one of the first games to do this pretty well.

Like Uncharted 4, I think the story will make or break this game. We all know the story in Uncharted 4 will be beyond amazing, making the game seem better. However, I don't know how this game will marry live action storytelling with the game. Seems like a weird clash to me.

This game may have the best physics we have ever seen in a game. Looking at the detail when time slows and what not is incredible.

Looks like I'm getting an Xbox One, haha. Will wait for Scalebound, Crackdown, and this to be released until I pick one up though as those are the "top 3" that are appealing to me right now. Oh and Sunset Overdrive!

I did get some Infamous Second Son vibes from this gameplay. I could easily see the time powers as a power in that game. Both look fantastic visually also. And the whole Monarch/DUP militarized corporation theme seems similar in both games. Pretty hyped for this!

I hope Sony brings it to PGW, TGS, and PS Event this year as this MS showing was very strong! Competition is so good to keep these companies accountable and working hard to impress.

Still unsure on the gameplay, it looks like it could be a bit too easy given your abilities, but aside from that the game looks incredibly interesting. Probably the best visual effects I've seen in a game! Remedy hit it out of the park int that department.

Yeah. I am still not getting the gameplay hook. The environmental shits seem to be to distracting as well. Could tone it down a notch.

Although it is a TPS from Remedy so it will likely be amazing.

Guys, remember a lot of times they have god mode on or easy difficult so they can show off the game without getting killed. I have faith the difficulty won't turn out like Kingdoms of Amalur... :/

You can say these words but I don't think you'd be able to back them up. I think QB looks GREAT, mind you, but ND has long been one of the best in the business graphics-wise, while Remedy has never been in that top-contender space (not saying they're even remotely bad or below average in that area). I'd like to see a technical comparison, because I'd be very very surprised to see QB come out on top in almost any way.

This looks so good. Love the fast third-person shooting. The time mechanics spice things up well enough. And I expect the narrative to deliver as well. That cast is great.

It's probably for the best that the main character doesn't look like a hybrid of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Phil Spencer anymore. Having said that, the original actor must be pissed that all the work he put in was for absolutely nothing.

As long as he got paid who gives a fuck?

The more moments like this that the game has the better. Even the puddle at his feet changes to reflect the differences.
