I love Mafia 1 and 2. Heavily focused on narrative and staying a part of the character and their life, without derailing that for too many side quests and other tat. If Mafia 3 is similar, I can't wait!

Finding all the people complaining about it being CG odd. The game was literally just revealed and it's obvious that they're not ready to show gameplay yet. This is usually how any game is first shown off so I don't know why people are complaining about no gameplay now.

EDIT: Oh, there is gameplay. People complained for nothing then.

Need to see more later down the line but wasn't feeling it. Probably have an American Gangster approach.

I was sold on setting and characters, but those ingame screen look pretty fucking bad.

Will wait for a gameplay video before panicking, tho.

That could pass for the True Detective Season 3 Trailer.

Good soundtrack. Vietnam history. Revenge.

I'm down for this.

Agreed. Lots of atmosphere there. Potential for parallel storylines, soundtrack of the Gods.

Executed correctly this could be an outstanding title.

Please don't have Coop or Online play. That looked like it could have those at the end.

Uh, co-op would actually be really fantastic to the series if done correctly. Doing GTA Online style heists in the mob. That sounds really fun thinking about it.

And before I hear this, co-op doesn't mean the story has to be trash. I've played many co-op games that have excellent (for video games) stories.

Uhm, what time setting is this? One thing I loved about the original Mafia was that it was set somewhere during the 1920's or so, if my memory doesn't fail me too bad. This one seems much more recent?
I guess after Vietnam War, so somewhere maybe in the late 70s?

If memory serves, Mafia II was set in the late 40s. The series has jumped time periods with every game.

I look forward to Mafia V: Advanced Warfare in 2024.

Also I should probably play Mafia I and II already, they've only been sitting on my hard drive for seven years

Not a fan of the protagonist, the other three characters seemed much more interesting and they didn't need to say a word. The setting is intriguing though - not what I'd have picked, but I'll give it a shot for sure.

And people who complain about Coop dont have to play coop.

I'm down for the setting and I loved Mafia II, so this is definitely on my radar now.

Gameplay looks great, to be honest.

strange thing to say but this is the most exciting screen in the whole lot. if they actually show the harassment and racial unrest that was (or is tbh) prominent for black people in america that would be very forward-thinking for a videogame.

i hope this has the same detailed storytelling as mafia 2. i loved the attention to detail in the time period and the cutscenes as well.

Is that Neal McDonough on the right (our left)?

Great cinematic trailer, but I need to know more about the world and structure of the game before I really buy into it. Characters looking good so far, main seems really interesting.

So it seems like the protagonist is going against the Mafia maybe?

Or something?

Not what I expected at all; that could be good though. We shall see.

Edit: Oh that's Vito in there too? Okay, hype rising.

I love how the games have all been connected.

I don't know, not feeling it. Maybe it's because the setting is kinda unfamiliar to me which should make it more exciting after all. Loved Mafia II so I'll keep an eye on it.

I never played 2 but I loved 1 alot. Excited for this one, mainly because of Louisiana. It's an interesting setting mainly because we don't get it alot in video games.
