Why are the mobile versions of the DQ games considered better than the DS versions?
IV is considered better on mobile because it has Party Chat, which was cut from the English DS version. Why are the mobile versions of the DQ games considered better than the DS versions?
They all are remade with the DS DQ engine (Except VIII) so they're not the original sprites. Are the mobile releases ports of the SNES games or are they remakes ?
I agree, the art direction for the PS4 version is kind of an incoherent mess, IMHO.There's something really funky with this and DQ:Builders, the monsters looks like they were superimposed on a background of some other game. Heck, everything looks strangely out of place to me for some reason.
Maybe its the black lines?

lol
The hyperbole. I can see why some people might not like some elements, but incoherent mess is really something else.

PS4 version looks beautiful, but I'm thinking maybe that image quality is a little too pristine.
Actually, the 3DS screens look too clean as well.
Honestly, the more I look at the screens, the more beautiful it gets. I genuinely don't see what these people are weirdly complaining about besides obviously having a far more detailed environment than any other DQ game in the past.Incoherent mess = your eyes have a hard time dealing with IQ this good?
Not sure which game you chose, but talking to your party members may put you back on course.Cool.
I killed monsters until I reached level 5. The game reminds me of the original Final Fantasy in that I have no fucking idea where to go. Is it easy to get lost? I was planning on going in that cavern to the northwest of the castle.

. One have no party member lol.I'm playing the first one and I do not have party members yet.

They are?
Other than 4, because 4 mobile has party chat. Otherwise they're equal, controls notwithstanding.
It's the lighting inconsistency between the characters and the environment. They seem to be lit separately, for whatever reason.
I said it before, and i say it again, the PS4 version needs Cel-Shading. Right now those semi-realistic surroundings don't match the cartoony style of the chars and the monsters.
Other than that, looks awesome.
Wow haha, calm down man! Colour complements cover a spectrum of colours, so purple is yellow-green or yellow-orange, but the direct complement opposite purple on the colour wheel is yellow, without a doubt. It's basic colour theory.
What you're talking about is split-complementary. I was simply correcting the terminology. You're not totally incorrect, just the phrasing. Split-complementary colours together are less intense/ harsh as a direct complement, which is why it's often used in character design colours.
So damn beautiful! Even the 3DS version is amazing
Im curious to see the battle system from this pic:
PS4 version looks amazing. Really liking the discrete UI.
While I like the dual art-style gimmick of the 3DS version, surely it's a waste of artist effort and memory on the 3DS to go that way,
I'm afraid that the discreet UI may imply that the MC might be the only character we'll play with across the entire game.
Now imagine Pokémon powered by UE4...
SE could recreate FFXV in EU4 too...
A bit similar @@
PS4 version looks amazing... I really miss Dragon Quest VIII.... SE needs to release it on PC...please
Lol no way that happens.
