Great, I'm currently 600k in the red.
DD is the best parter tho...
Because of this tax?
Link?I've just been using cheat engine to dump the GPM back into my motherbase account every time I get hit with the tax.
Fuck you Konami for shitting freemium gameplay mechanics all over an otherwise brilliant single player game.

I haven't played since Sunday, which was online. Should I just stay offline the next time I play, or just stick with being online? I would like to 100% this, by the way, as I have all the other Metal Gear plats.
Thanks. Every time I check this thread, the reports are worse.if anything, you'll have an easier time 100% the game if you log-in each time you play to maximize resources

To all of you who want to keep your resources in your possession, you might not want to risk getting online ever again. After loading the game this morning I found that Konami had decided overnight, apparently via the new PS4 hot fix, to transfer around 90% of all of my offline resources to the online storage. Most of my stock of around 50,000 diamonds was instantly transferred to my FOB, leaving me with just around 4,000 in the offline storage. So basically I can't sell or do shit with the stuff that is supposedly mine.
Thankfully I closed the game immediately, and since it hadn't saved yet, all my diamonds are still with me if I load the game in offline mode. But seriously, fuck this shit a thousand times over. This shit that Konami is pulling off is ridiculous on so many levels. Personally, I know I'm playing this game exclusively in offline mode from here on out.
Link?
Can someone give me a quick summary of what this thread is about? I get the idea from the OP, but some people are talking about a patch that pulls some crazy bullshit that makes this worse?
I haven't touched the game since September 14th, so it seems I missed this trainwreck.
To encourage online play and this indirectly dlc sales, Konami transferred a majority of everyone's resources into an inaccessible online cloud.
In effect, the player now actively loses collected materials unless they go online.
i wrote a pretty big post a few pages back, should be easy to find.. kinda discovers and explains much or most of it. last page someone else wrote an even more clearer and simpler large summary, too. but to put it quick...Can someone give me a quick summary of what this thread is about? This is incorrect. You can spend your online resources. You have to be online to do it.
Maybe. If the effects of being online occur when you agree to the ToS, the yeah. MGO is a separate option on the title menu though.Once MGO releases for PC will it be integrated through the base MGSV install or via a separate download?
If the former then even those deliberately staying offline will be forced online should they want to hop into MGO multiplayer.
If that is true, this game should be nowhere near GOTY lists.
They've actively ruined the game for late adopters.
You can't sell online resources tho
Yes you can. I've done it plenty of times.

Nope. I have 18 mortars, sold the 2 I can sell, and then nothing.
Unless you mean having to exit the game and reenter the game, in which case fuuuuck that.
You don't have to exit, the game will periodically move online resources back offline after a certain period of time as long as you trigger checkpoints.
In any case, GMP is super easy to acquire. I hit the 5m offline cap regularly anyways, so I dont know why it even matters if you can only sell 2 mortars at a time.

I'm glad Konami is siphoning my own stuff back to me.
Man this change is stupid.
It's only stupid if you have to rely on selling mortars for GMP. Here's a hint, build your FOB, deploy your combat teams, farm resources and you will never need to fulton a jeep again.
I hit the max limit for common plants just from combat missions alone, and I can sell those to sell GMP if I ever need to. I'm at the point where I develop gear just to get rid of GMP.

I haven't played MGSV yet but I see that this thread is very active so I'm curious, what the hell is going? Is Konami taking ingame money from your savegames? Why?

I didn't realize how bad this actually was. Lost about 3 million gmp and a shit ton of resources. I'm really concerned about the long term viability of playing this game in let's say 10 years. I know it's random but this is the first metal gear to have such a huge reliance on online. Maybe they'll patch things to make them more reasonable later but Konami.
I'm still a bit confused about this whole thing. I just bought the game and is about to begin playing, if I only play offline from the beginning I will never have this issue, or?
