PlayStation Experience 2015 Thread: The Year of Dreams

I still can't believe how they ended it. Unreal. Does no one have common sense?

If you have FF7, END WITH FF7.
End with Ni No Kuni.
Fuck, even end with that Uncharted demo (which wasn't really bombastic, but still good)

Don't end it with some new moba thing that seems to be a dime a dozen now.

Started off with a bang and went out with a whimper IMO. PSVR still looks unimpressive, especially since I'm convinced it will be a quick ticket to barf city for me.

Is it me or was that a boring ass lineup of things announced? :-/

there were a couple of good announcements but the pacing was awful, the conference was way too long, and there were too many cringe-worthy speakers. sony really needs to learn how to trim the fat with their conferences. they detract from their good announcements by making their conferences too long and boring.

I'm sorry but I didn't like that conference at all. They started off with a bang for a lot of people and I'm pumped for uncharted. As someone who doesn't like Jrpg's though the only other think we got announced was indie games. SONY what are u doing with your first party studios it blows my mind. Why arnt u talking about any of your first party games. Show us Santa Monica's big game which they have been working on for 3 years now ( Mabey I don't know about that canceled game). Then you have Sony bend who havnt released anything for 4 years. You guys didn't do a good job at promoting your first party games for 2016.

Improper phrasing on my part. The word I should have used was 'presented'.
Ya then u have the game coming out on consoles that is going to be superior to both in over watch. Both this games are going to get eating by blizzard as soon as they release overwatch they don't stand a chance.

I've a feeling Overwatch will be similar to other recent Blizzard games: nicely polished, adequately flashy, decently balanced and utterly soulless. I'd rather try Battleborn over it, were I actually interested in the genre.

The show was pretty much meh for me. I don't really care about VR stuff. Some good annoucenment but nothing that we haven't seen before. Excited for Full Throttle Remastered and a couple of games. Most are coming to PC and maybe other consoles.

FF7 Remake looks great but, looks like it's a mod for FFXV. I want GoW4, Shenmue 1&2 HD, and a couple of games. Ah well there's always E3 next year.

The show was pretty weird, tbh. And that ending. Wow. Just wow. I didn't believe it was really over for a few minutes.

I kept watching thinking after everyone got up Sony were gonna be like "surprise muthafuckers" but it didn't happen :( Definitely needed something cool to end on. That moba thing or whatever wasn't it.

I know exspecially when if my ears didn't desive me the old guys said" you want one more video back in my day" then they cut it off to music and everyone got up.

There was fat to trim? Felt like they were rapid firing new game announcements one right after the other.

Shiiiiet I'm all in for VR, I know it allows for amazing experiences first-hand but that segment would totally turn me off. Cringeworthy D:

Is there somewhere I can watch the conference? Missed it because I was at work. Is it on the Live Events Viewer PS4 app?

EDIT: Can't watch it there, as it's still live.

EDIT2: Links are in the OP.

I love the idea of using PSX to focus on smaller/indie/Vita games, but I thought the lineup of them was weaker this year than it was last year

So that was pretty damn bad.

It starts with Uncharted 4, then dude comes out with a crash shirt asking us to imagine how good the show will be if they decided to start with Uncharted......... and then it was downhil from there.

Boring Third party showings
Boring indies
One of the least exciting VR showings so far
No GOW
No Crash (not that I expect it before, but when the first guy on stage is wearing a crash shirt and promising great things to come you start to get ideas)
No Last Guardian
They finished with a MOBA?

Yakuza Zero comming to the west and Ni No Kuni 2 saved this from being a waste of time

Finished watching the rest of the event, I originally feel asleep during the VR portion.

The conference was just abysmal, they should have just got on stage and said thank you guys for buying 30 million of or consoles. Here's a demo reel to watch for the next 4 mins.

Show Uncharted 4, Nuni 2, FF7 and show about 30 seconds of indies in between.

Indies and VR took up the vast majority of the conference which is a crying ass shame. I hate neither but they have their place and it sure as hell isn't 3/4ths of a major conference dedicated to your fan base.

If their next E3 doesn't blow Microsoft out of the water and bury Nintendos NX announcement with multiple AAA exclusives from 1st party developers I'd question Sonys commitment to be frank. Sony WWS is huge and we haven't heard from more than half of them in years.

Besides Nioh and Ni no kuni II none of the new games announced was of my interest and out of the already announced things only Ratchet and Clank and FFVII caught my eye. Even UC4 was boring.

The keynote was OK. Lots of stuff we knew about but things I definitely want to play.

Kinda cheesed we didn't get a price or release window for PSVR. I don't like getting hyped for stuff when I don't have a date on my calendar.

THen you'd be complaining they are showing things way too early. Just because you may not be interested in most of these games. There was something here for everyone and even I had to take a second look at some of the titles announced.

You know the first party/exclusive titles are coming. Early next year to be exact. But people need to stop harping on the fact that these sell consoles. They do for Nintendo no doubt but as far as MS and Sony goes? It doesn't matter in the slightest.

This next comment isn't a dig at you but just a comment I need to make in general.

It seems like some people expected this conference to be Megaton after Megaton. As always GAF does this to themselves. After you E3 no event can live up to that. People predicted Rockstar to be there and got hype for it. People expected Bend's game to be there even though there was no evidence to suggest that. You know GOW4 is an E3 reveal. I feel people hype themselves up for big reveals and wait for those solely and when they don't happen they just deem the whole thing a disappointment.
