Did you even have a chance to watch the video before posting that?
Game looks good. Still not sure about the combat, since it seems like you're mainly just staying behind one piece of cover for the entire fight, but looking forward to checking it out during the beta.
You guys complain too damn much about things you do not know
It's a very large recreation of Manhattan with tons of geometry, weather effects, a day/night cycle and some pretty good effects for stuff like explosions. There's also stuff like realtime reflections that you can see in the Jackfrags video. Getting it to look this good while maintaining performance, (note there are drops), which likely very difficult. There's a complete uncompressed video of the alpha in the last thread and you can tell just how detail is lost in these videos.Heres my issue with the visuals.
Of course we all knew that it was being shown on a high end PC but that being said so far this generation what we have been getting on consoles is the equivalent of HIGH settings on the PC. That makes it so that the visual leaps between the PC reveals and the Console reveal isn't such a massive difference.
This looks like Medium settings at best and some Low settings at worst. It doesn't even really look like the same game.
Witcher 3 trailer came out and everyone was like woahRightfully so...Do you like to settle for less?
Jackfrags mentioned there were around 15 story missions.
That's quite worrying.

The problem is not how it looks, but it is how it runs, those videos have some really bad frame drops and tearing.
I don't mind the bullet-sponge thing but can you kill an enemy with one shoot in the head using the sniper rifle?.
Witcher 3 trailer came out and everyone was like woah
Witcher 3 xbox one footage came out and everyone was like DOWNGRADE
Then Witcher 3 was released on PC still downgraded but people stopped talking about it
Do you have a link to the post/video?
I would love to see a better footage of the game.
Combat, shooting more specifically, just looks incredibly bland...
And being "designed as a MP experience" but also being a "great single player game!", yea, heard that one before. We'll see I suppose.

Not understanding the people moaning about "bullet-sponge" in this game. It's open world with pvp and you want people one-shotting you? Yeah, no. You need to get rid of some realism in games in order for it to be fun and balanced.
lol Ubisoft and their huds
How on earth does "youtube" counter any discussion of a downgrade when people are comparing this youtube footage to earlier released youtube footage?
depends on the amount of side stuff. Same as in a game like far cry 4. While tedious at times, there are a ton of side quests content etc
You're right, but the mission I played through in the alpha wasn't exactly lengthy.Fallout 4 has 11. Numbers means nothing without context.
From the alpha, it just seemed like the typical Ubisoft side-objectives. Elite enemy here, friendly NPCs need help here, a worthless collectible over there, etc. Nothing too exciting really. There is a lot more going on in the game than just main story stuff. I've been saying for awhile don't sleep on this game. Its my most anticipated game this year and this is not based on videos.......................
If I remember correctly FC4 had 28 main campaign missions, along with the "quest giver" missions and the outpost side content. It'd be nice if The Division had the same amount, but I'm starting to get a bit worried.depends on the amount of side stuff. Same as in a game like far cry 4. It's Watch Dogs all over again
The majority are likely only watching the one video in the OP, (which needs to be updated), which is only 720p.How on earth does "youtube" counter any discussion of a downgrade when people are comparing this youtube footage to earlier released youtube footage?
You'd be very very wrong.Exactly what I was thinking.
I'm sure this is also the same engine used.

This is the first game the Snowdrop engine has ever been used with
And has a completely different design philosophy to Watch dogs
Witcher also wasn't Ubisoft.
Neogaf peeps love to shit on Ubisoft games without giving them a chance these days.
Well that would depend on his health and your rifles stats.
Well that's surprising, visually it looks exactly like Watch Dogs imo.
Well yeah, but I mean in normal conditions not when your are fighting low level enemies and your are using a high tier sniper rifle.
