The Lakers are so many years away from being a playoff team isn't funny.
Draft picks and 1 year deal spare parts isn't gonna build a team. Put it like this: Out west, we are further away than Minnesota, New Orleans, Phoenix and Sacremento...and none of those teams are close to winning a chip.
Let that simmer for a bit.
Spurs are still on track to have like the 4th best season record in NBA history. Which is just insane.

Amazing that a team can be 50-9 and undefeated at home and still be completely overshadowed.

Curry rules are gonna get implemented and he's going to start getting hammered for taking those shots at will much like Jordan did for going to the rim. 3 free throws arnt as demoralizing at a 38ft shot. Plus the nba doesn't generally won't award FTs that far out regardless of intent or motion.

Curry actually is quite strong for his size. That's how he's able to have such great control over the halfcourt+ shots that he hits on a regular basis.
Still up in the air whether it'll even be a match. They've only played once so far, in GS, and the Warriors won by 30. Good chance the Spurs are taking a home loss before then since they have to hold two times.

The entire league is trying to match the warriors small ball which is just impossible. Nobody else has steph, or Klay, or Green who can play the 5 and average a triple double almost lol. OKC knows they can beat them, just not likely in a 7 game series. Spurs would have to stick kawhi on steph from inside 60 feet... Cavs need steph to be cold for at least 3 or 4 games.

The closest team that can potentially beat the Warriors is the Spurs cuz at least they have the size and the defense to MAYBE stop them. Otherwise...yeah good luck to the rest of the teams.

Draymond is incredible man. Understandably overshadowed tonight but 14 boards, 14 assists, 6 steals. The way he can run the offense for GS and at the same time battle with 7 footers inside (and win the matchup) is just unreal. No one else in the league right now quite like him.

Our team can't get any worse than it is and Simmons is likely gone @ #1 so whatever happens, happens. We had no business getting the #2 last year.
If David Stern was still the Commish, I would actually be afraid of this possibly happening.
But Adam Silver will give us the "Kobe retirement present" with the number 1 pick.
Actually yeah we did. We had the 4th worst record and jumped two spots. That's not exactly an absurd thing to happen.
It's not like the Cavs "luck" or the Bulls "luck" where they got the 8th or 9th spot and jumped all the way to 1st pick.

That's one of the things giving me great joy this season. Seeing the Clips fail time and time again. Knowing they'll never break through to the Conference Finals much less the NBA Finals. And the fact that GS is going to run through any of the prime that Flopacopter has left.
