Hitman beta opens to PS+ members on 4th March

I don't know who's doing the OT, but if it isn't either one of the following I'm going on a hunger strike:

Hitman |OT| The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be

Hitman |OT| The Excellence of Execution

I was fine with repetitive and unrealistic NPC behaviour back in the day, but in 2016 it's really immersion breaking.

I'm guessing the rest of his body will be pre-order DLC?

anyway, after finishing a hit, I had to rush out of the area, ran into a previous room where one of my victims was put in a body bag. I got the "disguise" prompt and thought: awesome! I can hide in a body bag and let them carry me out to safety! but no, it was just some clothes. :(

Yeah it's buggy and performance is spotty, but it feels like Blood Money, which is a good thing.

Probably gonna pick this up

I think each level has a drop off point, and if it's the second location in the game, that point actually is right next to guards.

There's no safety to be had there!

I'm not mad at the fact that they have a 'save anywhere' system tbh.

The animation on the garrotte is horrible and clippy. Have to imagine they'll fix that

How do you kill the KGB officer with the projector? He never investigates it :(

Edit: We get the first two tutorial missions (beta), the new location, a PS4 exclusive mission (no idea what it is) and the contracts mode (online mode) where you can create your own contracts in a sandbox location (probably the new one, I don't know if the tutorial areas count) so other players can try to beat your goal in less time.

agree and don't really hate the way it is now

but the word I'd like "dynamic" and not so fixed and brain dead. it's mostly the same game its always been which is still fine but why not advane the AI/context awareness a bit to bring in a lot of atmosphere.

But maybe today they just need more depth in their levels and design, physics and detail would go along way.Crashing a physics heavy wall with a car and having people run out and say dude you alright, and shake it off and say yeah... while killing them and continuing on. Just something to add to what is already there.

Performance is bad and the game has a bit of jank (47 walks to fast for his animation and can't touch doors), also the story was trash but it's really quite fun. I enjoyed it much more than Absolution. Looking forward to the complete edition next year.

You can walk slower by not moving the stick all the way forward, by the way.

Yeah, they really didn't do much here to advance what was built in blood money. Basically a prettier blood money with better controls. I guess I'm okay with that but it should be more dynamic

That's basically my take-away from the beta. Luckily, that's what I was hoping for. I'll probably pick this up when it's out of early access.

Honestly didn't care for this beta. Didn't like how janky the doors are, 47 moved too slow for me, and the game feels like it's from the original Xbox era with the dragging bodies, magically putting on costumes, and iffy AI.

It would be better if it was something that you hade to trigger (which it is sometimes).

Either he drinks the wine once after you poison it or you have to bring the wine to the target.

Played through the beta quickly yesterday, and aside from the immediate jarring performance issues I really liked everything that I played. It feels great gameplay and control wise and it's nice to see real Blood Money style levels again.

I'll definitely pickup the Intro pack (maybe on PC if performance is still an issue on PS4 come release).

Downloaded the beta and tried to get through it but just couldn't. Jank is about the best word to describe it all and I wasn't a fan of the controls either. Like early on jumping behind cover and then looking at another object and it tells you to hit X to switch from cover to cover, so I do...only for 47 to run off in the other fucking direction to stand right next to the person I'm trying to subdue who's then all like "Oh Hai...YOU CAN'T BE HERE!".

So easy pass. Better luck next time I guess?
