New NieR Automata Info. Characters, Footage, etc.

Still can't believe we're actually getting a new Taro game. No other game has me even as remotely excited as Nier Automata does.

Now to go back to refreshing myself on the lore by finishing my read of the Dark Id Drakengard 2 LP ._.

Ugh, I think I'm just gonna blast through the rest of the story in Nier 1 and do the rest of the side quests in NG+. That Pink Seed quest just sapped my enthusiasm for some reason.

You're gonna be doing plenty of something in NG+

Well it definitely looks like Nier all right. What a visage.

What will the game’s CERO rating be?

Yoko: “We made the previous game with the intention of a B or C rating, but got a D. We’re making this one in hopes of getting an A, but…”

CERO A means suitable for gamers of all ages. Like E for everyone. Yeah right. CERO D again pls

Really wish i could wake up from this dream where a NieR game is being co developed by Platinum Games.
Actually still can't believe this is happening

Sweet, looks great! Can't wait to check this out more! Really looking forward to it since it sounds like Platinum could make this game a perfect masterpiece with their gameplay talent and Yoko Tato's story writing talent!

I hope it is still set to come out this year and it is as long as Nier with multiple endings. Could be the best Platinum game so far if it's got that and some technical combat that isn't quite as deep as past Platinum games so they can get more RPG fans, but with at least as much depth as MGR.

Looking at the art makes me miss yoshida. Haven't seen his art in a console game for such a long time. This game is only second to zero escape 3 this year in anticipation.

Nier with non shit action gameplay, I can't believe it, I still can't believe this is a thing.

Give me an Infinte Space sequel and I'll start believing in the supernatural.

I can't tell if this uses UE4 or some modified Bayonetta/Metal Gear Rising thing.

All I know is more games should focus on 60fps and great art. This is a breath of fresh air.

Via context from previous games, the metal enemies elicit a much different emotion from me than fear or intimidation.

And I loooooooooove it.

I like how the bigger ones are forced to rapidly pivot at the shoulder and waist just to perform basic attacks.

Makes it feel like they weren't necessarily built specifically for combat and have to work within the limits of their model in order to fight.

Im going to buy this so Hard.

And of curse i will be looking under that skirt lols.

Dame hot art design and the Girls are hot as fuck.

Peleas be as weird as the first.

Apologies if it's been said, but is the first character (no mask, A2 I think?) playable or is she the antagonist? It's not really clear from what I've seen

I wonder what Scalebound is doing that this game isn't to explain why the former has such an atrocious framerate.

Automata is gorgeous, fluid, and shows what Platinum can do when unencumbered by last-gen hardware and <1 year development cycles.

Scalebound has a significantly bigger world loaded at any given time than Nier probably does. This area in particular is actually rather barren, fitting for the Nier world and an ideal situation for platinum to do their magic.

It seems the game is panning out very well indeed. I'm quite fond of Nier and how it used its weaknesses and made them strengths (Like the Barren World). But it seems that level of creativity won't be needed this time around and they can avoid weaknesses altogether. Yoshida's art is nice as always, bless his love of thighs.

As mentioned Scalebound is an open world (I think?). It has to draw and load more of the world on account of its larger play spaces with the dragon. Presumably it will also be traversable by flying on the dragon, so that large land masses have to exist as the dragon will traverse them much faster than a small person.

Man that live rendition of the theme song is gorgeous. I totally changed my opinion on the song after listening to it a few times. I think I was just expecting something different.. but now I'm in love with it.
