It won't, everyone and their mum has WiFi and for the 3% of people that would be bothered they can just get a USB adapter

That's not the point. I have Wifi too. Doesn't mean I want to be playing online on it. Even if I know my connection is great, that doesn't mean I want 97+% of the people that I play against online to be playing on Wifi. I also don't want to have to deal with Nintendo's "local Pokken multiplayer" solution again, especially considering that it uses up one of the few USB ports on the system.

Not getting hyped after Wii U. They have to earn my hype again.

As a console for playing Nintendo games, the Wii U has actually been pretty great if you ask me.

I already have a PC for multiplatform games though, so whether or not the next Nintendo console can legit get "all the third party" support doesn't have as much an effect on me. I can see why it would for console-only users though.

Strangely, because I'm mainly playing on PC, a good Nintendo handheld would probably have more value for me because it's the type of system still likely to get lots of core games exclusive to it. I've gotten through most of this hardware cycle on just PC gaming and the 3DS. Then again, if the NX console ends up being able to play all the handheld's games that could boost its library of games PlayStation and Xbox don't have. Though, we have been seeing a lot of formerly handheld-exclusive games coming to PC recently.

Absolutely. Leaking bits of information happens, but that individual went full crazy with what they shared.

It still blows my mind. I get the feeling that they must have been a recent hire, they really disliked their job, or something in their judgment just took an odd turn. A baffling episode in Nintendo leak history. The specifics of everything, especially the budget info, was just bizarre.

My guess is recent hire trying to impress friends or something stupid.

HOLD IT!

Ok, now i've got your attention the situation is:

10k has his own source claiming Polaris
Playeressence has his own source claiming Polaris
10k has verified with Playeressence that the source is indeed different
10k still stands at "T1" on Polaris because he has not had contact with the Playeressence source himself.

Is this where we're at?

Sounds like it. Might be the same source that fed both sources that fed 10k and playeressence though.

Pretty much.

Ok, thanks.

Some on sum up this hole thread please thank you

That's basically in the OP.

The only things NOT in the OP are 1/ LCGeek's "leak" on the CPU, being a bit more powerful than the CPU in the XBO/PS4. He has "leaked" the specs on GCN and Wii before, so he appears to be trustworthy. And 2/ The guy from Playeressence seems to have a source too, that claims the GPU is Polaris.

Maturity, bitches.
Trev's source was very inexperienced.

So Nintendo has stopped showing new employees the Nintendungeons during initialisation? They should probably start doing that again since that leaker clearly had no idea what was in store for him.

I think it's very reasonable to say that FF XV has a good chance of being on the NX. The reason being, if the rumors are true (from playeressence) the architecture is similar, the system is launching in the same season as the release of FF XV, and Square Enix desperately wants to get as much audience for the game as possible. Not only that, but they will get the benefit of having the early launch buying sprees for a new game system.

In fact, I would say it would be a missed opportunity if SE does not release FF XV on Nintendo NX. It would likely outclass any other launch NX game, sans Nintendo's own offerings.

Sounds correct to me.

Very likely.

a sweat-drenched and panicked kimishima introduces new super mario galaxy, the same super mario galaxy you love with a brand new 2d twist. it's the only launch game aside from sonic's 25th anniversary game, sonic 3d blast 2. the presentation lasts the agonizing length of a sony conference.

These rumors are out if control, I bet you guys will be extremely disappointed after Nintendo revealed the real NX.
Sounds like any Nintendo event then :p
Honestly, WUST told me some valuable lessons, still curious about the latest rumors but I'm not going to say wow yet.

Will they just announce this fucking thing already? I mean once Star Fox comes out what else is left?

Just reveal the concept next month and have a full reveal at E3.

To me it's easy: As long FFXV releases on Xbox there's no excuse for SE to not release the Game on a console that is at least just as powerful, but with a bigger fanbase for such games. Even if the console releases 2 months later.

This is not meant to trashtalk Microsoft, but let's be honest: who looks at the Xbox Brand and thinks "this is perfect to play japanese games!"? Not many.

To be honest, the rumors so far are tame and reasonable, and no other source has come out denying any of these rumors like the days of WUST. Something like that would have happened by now. Sure, there could be unreasonable expectations and disappointment but this isn't really a place for any hype. We've all mostly been discussing and speculating with what we know. I do hope some are at least keeping their expectations and hype in check though.

I haven't really been reading them. Something about the NX will have Polarium. That game was great on DS so I'm really glad the NX will have it. All they have to do is announce that and I will not be disappointed.

I won't be disappointed. I play games. I don't play specs. Will there be quality Nintendo games on NX? Yep. So I'm all good and very excited for this reveal.

Considering that Polaris is AMD's newest GPU tech, it doesn't surprise me they would want it have it in a consumer product. No different from all the Shield devices Nvidia makes whenever their newest Tegra chip comes out.

I think Nintendo should be allowed to reveal their product on their own terms.

Yes, and we should be allowed to be treated like persons and not a horse with a carrot. If they don't plan to reveal the thing until E3, fine, but don't tease us all the year along giving us false information and hopes ;)
I wonder if Luigi's Mansion 3 could look like this:

That look is the kind of games i want. Not the realistic ones.

I remember the wiiu zelda tech demo, but I think nx could even put much better gfx with vulcano than the tech demo did.
Very nice! :D
