I expected a lot more replies in this thread. Even the hype around the game seems to be very low for a GT title. Hope once Sony start actually advertising the game the hype kicks in.

I hope they've retired their lawnmower. The old girl deserves a break after nearly 20 years of hard work.

Why would it mean that? Sony has revealed lots of games within ~a month from E3 that have been featured in their E3 line-up. They just have lots of games, no need for everything to be buried under all the E3 announcements, it's better to show some before to maximize exposure.

Not saying that is bad dude, I think its smart. GT is so big that can stand an event of its own. Just pointing that they prob wont spend stage time on the keynote. Sure it will be mentioned and shown at least on a sizzle real and on VR talk

Is it? Because otherwise I am definitely not buying it. I don't want to see those ugly old models when I play.

I think that GT Sport is a smaller game, a racing platform on which Polyphony will build their "sporting events". Because of that it will not have full array of content like regular GT7 would, but what is in it will all be nextgen-only.

Full GT7 game with insane car count will come out later.

I've only seen that quick video glimps of this. I wonder how good it will look. This is the year where a lot of games are showing that 'next gen polish' finally (it's the third year, after all) and DriveClub set the bar. I also wonder what crazy features they'll have.

Despite the name, couldn't this be the next big game? Many franchises start playing with mainline entry titles when the numbering gets too high. Unless something is announced, I am considering this the next major release.

I'm expecting some focus on the sound improvements; I'm not even entertaining the idea that sounds haven't been improved. lol.

I hope NASCAR is still there in some capacity; had so much fun racing NASCAR back in the day with GT5, before they fucked it all up with 6.
It's going to be playable at the 24h Nurburgring as well
Is it realistic/unrealistic to expect a redesigned Nurburgring, do we reckon? I still remember when they showed the GT5 version for the first time... I was pretty blown away. Was Nurburgring one of the FIA approved tracks? I don't recall them ever saying what the approved tracks were.

better be getting rid of PS2 classic car models and focusing on a smaller roster of premium only

dont need 700+ cars when most look awful

its 2016, lets use that PS4 hardware

What's wrong with optional ?
As long as I can make those cars not available to AI either, I mean, which they should do.
It ruins my beautiful replays.

It's not, it has GT mode and other single player content like normal Arcade mode and Split Screen.

Am not saying you are wrong but do we know this yet? Am not sure any details other than the FIA Championships and things like that have been announced yet.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
No Meek Doge graphics plz... Not acceptable after Driveclub

I keep forgetting about that reveal trailer cos I thought it was underwhelming at the time. lol. Though I still wonder whether it's had an extensive redesign, or whether the GT5/6 version was good enough to be certified, with some added eye candy.

Of course it happens exactly at the time of my doctor's appointment.

Graphics wise I'm not expecting much (when compared to Driveclub) as it has to hit 60fps. I predict that the full fledged GT7 NEO will be driveclub level or better at 60fps, while GT sport will be a decent step below (even in Neo mode)

They've definitely done more than just make it look prettier

It will be interesting to see if Polyphony have improved GT in any meaningful way, about time they take a leap forward beyond car model eye candy.
