So I'll admit to something equally weird.
I take my dog with me to get coffee in the morning, and on weekends (especially when hungover), I'll get a breakfast sandwich. Like a greasy sausage egg and cheese on a croissant or english muffin. I'll eat about 90% of it but occassionally give my dog some, and because I'm driving, I usually keep one hand on the wheel and then bite off a small chunk, take it out my mouth with my other hand, and then put it on the backseat for the dog.
Technically I'm pretty much doing the same as this mom, but with my dog.

I don't even understand why people are calling racism on it like...he asks if it's a white people fad so she was white of course. Even if he saw it and she was Asian and said "is this an Asian thing or just some Costco craziness?" would people have called racism on that? I don't feel like they would have?

This is entirely dependent on your own propensity to get cavities and your own oral microflora makeup. You could just as easily innoculate your kids against getting acid forming varieties of Streptococcus Mutans, or pass on other bacteria which keep S. Mutans in check if you have good teeth. A mouth isn't a sterile place, there is always going to be some sort of bacteria living there.

I was seeing this more as a "rich fashion mod parents trying anything new and fashionable and alternative like placenta eating" stereotype being pretty blatantly on display. OP asked if it was a white thing, that wasn't the basis for the thread. Most of us are just grossed out. And amused. And shading this new paleofuture motherhood stuff.
