Fallout 4 console mods |OT| Mod peasants strike back

No copyright mods allowed.

It sucks but you have to understand what a legal nightmare that'd be.
Not sure what you mean exactly. This isn't a copyright situation. Same thing as the hundreds and hundreds characters already available. I don't think anyone is talking about taking the exact models. Then again someone may have been talking about taking the exact models lol. I am talking about the usual mods.

In the two posts they're replying to, people are asking for 'IP theft'. Or as gamers probably rightly call it, fun.

I am one and I am no but I probably should have put a disclaimer in their called 'obviously;
Doesn't matter. Looks like there are a couple cool ones being posted that are 'look alikes' next weekend. So that will be good enough for me on some fronts.
Love that its happening on the consoles at all thats for sure and the somewhat small hit they deliver is honestly pretty shocking.

Yep. It is really really well implemented. You can install lots of mods and do complex within them with very little performance impact.

I owe gstaff and the rest of Bethesda an apology by the way: during the launch server stability issues I suggested it would take days, not hours for them to fix. I was wrong. They had it nailed within 24 hours. Those gals and guys have serious skills.

Made new character and loving mods. Up to level 24 just with staying at Sanctuary and building.

Completed the game numerous times so really just cheating and having fun but I need to ask:

Is there a mod that gives you all bobble heads and magazines in your inventory (they dont need to add and perks)? I want to make parts of dwellings that have reading areas and would like to get loads of them without having to do loads of work.

So a couple of questions:

Can mods be used on existing saves? I think the answer was yes but I'm just double checking.

Is the expanded/improved dialogue mod coming to consoles?

First question:

Yes they can. They make a new save on your existing save with a 'M' beside the name to show its modified and you can play where you left off.

Second Question:

I dont know. Depends on how big the file is but I've not seen it when searching ad yet.

Having a problem with the sanctuary redone mod (the one where it reverts it back to how it used to look. Only thing is the old sanctuary is starting to come back and overlapping with the mod. It's not that big of deal but just want to know if there is any way to fix it. I've disabled the mod and loaded the game and then enabled it and re loaded it.

There'll be lookalikes sure, but if someone is asking to travel on an actual TARDIS, that leaves little to the imagination.

I could fly inside a blue phone box instead, I'd have no problem with that.

I've seen lightsabers mods though. I think it leaves little to the imagination too.

If Disney reported them, they would get deleted. Same with the Deadpool ones. Not saying Disney would report them, like.

I haven't had time to work on console console mod yet, I'm off to get drunk instead. #beer

Smells faintly of rancid stilton.
The mod section is a mess. I really don't want to shift through hundreds of tests, espically ones that say they will break my save. Also people are mislabeling mods. I don't want to shift through custom weapons when looking for environmental mods. Im sure it will only get worse. Huge pain to browse mods, without searching, which is getting more difficult.

Ingame? Yeah could be better, but the website is pretty good with favourites and library. But its not really bethesdas fault if mod developers make mods available that are in development. Still, could easily be solved by providing a flag where developer could mark their mods as in development.

Look for popular and high rates ones. I would strongly recommend not installing random mods, you will break your saved games eventually.

Be very careful with adding mods to an existing save that alter the world in a drastic way like new weapon models, new quests, or even locations.

This can really screw up your save from my experience with Skyrim. I don't think Fallout 4 acts much differently if you disabled some mod you no longer like and you get all sorts of "missing file" errors, even worse possible save corruption.

Adding mods to an existing save can be relatively harmless minding you are in a different cell away from where the changes are effected. Removing mods from an existing save can leave all kinds of left over scripts attached to your save file which can lead to weird issues down the road later on.

All - mod updates are available for almost all the popular mods now. Head to the Mods option on main menu, then update each mod.

Also, for the person asking about dog replacements - Dark Husky Dogmeat is up now.

Here's me and Husky chillin'

On consoles? Cant see any update options. How they handle updates is the thing im wondering about since release.

I started a new character.

I had mods including "cheat room" more hairstyles and stuff for settlements.

I went to diamond city after a while to get on with the game to get more settlements and the door was closed (as it should be), but piper wasnt talking in the intercom, shr was standing there.

When I spoke to her it said "hey piper".
No matter what I did I couldn't progress so I went over the wall using triple jump height and jet pack mod. Got in to Diamond City but door was still closed and I have been unable to progress.

Very annoyed and looked online and it seems that some mods when started from the beginning can cause this

Trying it right now, it seems to have actually improved performance in the first little town, going to Diamond City now to check.
Edit, Diamon City is laggier, seems to lock to 20-25 fps.

The engine is so old it might be working more to actually get rid of them rofl

Jeez ps4 is taking forever!

Looks awesome though, thanks for the updates!

No probs. I've got a 5 minute video uploading to YouTube, which includes those screenshot scenes. Worth mentioning with 50ish mods, using around 25% of the available mod storage, there's almost no performance impact. Those mods include texture replacement, green trees, the unofficial Fallout patch, WET, lighting mods etc etc. It's really impressive.

What was the name of the mod that teleports you to any companion? I know there are mods out that summon the companion to you but as I heard it can break quests if the companion is stuck in it. Ive lost dogmeat...

Search for teleport. I think it's called Teleport to Companion.

In other news, the Cheat Tape Xbox One mod has almost 6 million hits.

Disappointed to see that the unofficial patch doesn't fix the silent Guard Gutsies at General Atomics Galleria. I wonder if the spoken lines of dialogue are even in the game.

If you want the green trees, grass and environment regrowth, install these two mods (at same time):

- Spring in the Commonwealth
- Green in the Commonwealth

(Mod load order as above - important)

They significantly alter the visuals.
