Fuck them and Valve, I hope they get punished for this.

I know people here think Valve are the 2nd coming of Christ himself, lets see ye defend this crap!

I agree, I think you are right. Either way let's hope something happens because it's disgusting, that video of him ranting in his two storey waterfront property paid for based on kids gambling on his site and his lies is so morally corrupt I don't even know where to start.

How can he sleep at night?

If it's any consolation he probably won't be sleeping much tonight

The one thing I'm not quite ok with is how TmarTn appears to be getting the majority of the attention.

ProSyndicate appears to be flying under the radar in comparison.

This is also true, but I'm sure he's in as much shit as TmarTn once shit goes down in the coming days.

Did I miss anything?

Any sympathy I had for Tmartn, and I used to watch some of his COD videos years ago, evaporated the moment I saw that panic rant video. No remorse, or no understanding about the ethics of what he's done. In his words "It's not gambling". He said his lawyer told him so. A complete sociopath. Fuck that guy.

Anyone who hasn't seen the video yet, I urge you to watch it.

Oh come one. Both their social media accounts are getting destroyed everywhere. Do you think with a possible legal investigation they will say "Well, that one dude seemed to have gotten, like, 1000 death threats more. We should probably only go after him"?

Yeah, using twitter is a great way to ask for forgiveness. Nothing says "Please forgive me" like a 140 character limit and #loveyall.

Fuck you buddy.

Did you leave out the part where you intrinsically tied the two things together first? What part of Valve mandated that this occurred?

Can we also add the third guy to the OP its JoshOG a CSGO twitch streamer listed as secretary under the name Josh Beaver. All 3 asses need to be blasted. Not just these 2

I honestly think valve just looks the other way to such things until trouble starts, then just kicks such services out of a plane. Valve still thinks as a small time company in all the wrong ways

That does provide some sort of consolation, with any luck that waterfront property will turn to a 4x4 cell sometime soon.

I'm typically against jail time for non-violent criminals but targeting his fanbase that consists of many children, inticing them to gamble on a site he secretly owns while he uploads videos of himself winning (best case: win or lose, he recoups his losses from the site, worst case: the bets are faked in their entirety) is a staggering level of scumbaggery. A prison sentence for that seems appropriate.

I think the trend started in the mobile gaming arena with these free to play games (I could be wrong) but I agree, it really does need restrictions placed upon it, it's sad that companies are essentially encouraging children to gamble when gambling ruins peoples lives.
Not sure where it started either. Could be. Also one of the reasons I despise mobile gaming.

Personally I hope this is the beginning of the end of gambling in games. The practice is shady and are making a lot of people addicted to gambling at a young age.

Any kind of paid gambling in a game should automatically come with a legally enforced 18+ rating. It's insane to me that this is allowed, even if it is for virtual stuff.

It's just as addictive

You are underestimating them a whole lot. They employ economists who figure out exactly how they can and should tune stuff like the CS:GO Skin Economy to get the most money out of it and the Gambling Sites are 100% a part of that equation. This is not some silly "Woopdeedoo!"-mistake, this is one of the most influental companies in our industry indirectly supporting these gambling schemes as long as they do not get called out for it.

Yep. Josh was trying to downplay it on his stream last night and about an hour ago deleted the Twitch VOD off of his channel. lol

I'm well aware that in a legal investigation how many likes, or comments an individual get's on social media has no bearing on anything.

My point though is that I feel that once the shit really hits the fan ProSyndicate will likely try to downplay his involvment, and what vice president actually entailed.

The majority blame appears to be on TmarTn when I'm sure they're likely both as involved as each other.

Anyway I'm hoping they do have to face the music, and are punished (harshly) for what they've done. If only to send a real message to anyone else doing similar, and let's face it there are many Youtubers doing similar.

I've noticed ProSyndicate has gone "quiet", which given the circumstances is the best thing to do. Reacting, or commenting at this stage will not achieve anything positive.

Maybe TmarTn should get the memo, as he's doing himself zero favours right now.

They should have all their possessions taken away before going to jail, seriously fuck these guys. I'd like to see Valve get a grip on some of this item buy/sell BS, I'm sure it's happening in a smaller scale with some other Steam games like DOTA 2.

The entire CS:GO Skin market/betting shit is fucking cancer. I cant stand Youtube personalities like these fucking disphits so im glad to see them get called out for being scummy ratfuckers.

I think valve's own attempts to make as much cash as possible out of the skin market was just one piece of the cs:go gambling craze, at most I see a very hard path for any legal connection although I think valve makes so much cash being indirect as a happy accident that it doesn't care until shit really hits the fan.

The fact that he targets kids to gamble is really what's going to get him sent away.

I'm glad to see that this is being brought to light.

This is the shit gaming journalism should be looking for. Absolutely despicable.

As horribly shady as this shit is (oh boy) the amount of people/fans jumping over themselves to defend this is fucking sickening.

What an unpleasant piece of human garbage these pricks are.
