i feel bad for constantly speaking poorly of tabata.
half the time i'm joking and i really do appreciate that he's turned the ship around and is steering the game towards an actual release.
i'm just endlessly frustrated with the decisions made regarding changes from versus and how they're announced/not announced.
everything that excited me about versus and gave the game its identity is slowly being killed off. at least publicly. often in confusing ways.
and every time i think "well it can't get worse" we get something like space marine dadio or noctis learning of the invasion in a newspaper.
i'm eternally internally screaming

The 2 points you made are a bit of an overreaction in my opinion. We are talking a redesign for a character that we don't even really know is featured that heavily for and one scene in the game. Versus/XV is by far the only Final Fantasy game I've followed this closely up to release, and the designs are a huge reason why. Noctis, Stella, Regis and co.'s designs, Nomura's direction, Shimomura, the fact that it was a "mature kingdom hearts" all drew me in. These aren't nitpicks. These aren't small changes to small details to me.

Yep. They also announced that they are dubbing the movie in french, just like the game. Now they're premiering the third Brotherhood episode.
EDIT: Seems like the movie will be available for stream and download in EU countries before September. The blu-ray and dvd release will remain September 30th.

- What is different about your work on Kingsglaive than FF VII:AC ?
On the FF VII:AC project I was just there for the visuals, here i am really directing the movie and making important decisions.
The scale of the Kingsglaive project is also way bigger (a lot of studios are involved ) .
- What did you do to link the game and the movie ?
To avoid any problems we decided that Kingsglaive was going to use the same core as FFXV. They both use the same script.
- Why did you hide Kingsglaive so long ?
We revealed FF XV too early , not the opposite (everyone laughed ) .
- Can you talk more about Luna ?
I don't want to spoil the game or the movie but know that Luna is what links Kingsglaive and FF XV, she is extremely important .
- Is there any planned FR dubs for Kingsgrave ?
I'd like to do it but it depends on Sony Picture, i'll ask Sony picture about it since everyone seems hyped about it .

Iedolas, Ravus, Luna, Regis and Ardyn are confirmed to appear in the game. The only character they have confirmed as movie exclusive so far is Nyx.

Wasn't Crowe also listed under FFXV's cast? So she's all but confirmed too. I think Nyx is the only one they confirmed to NOT be in the game.
Good to hear it'll be out streaming before September, so I'll be able to see it even if it doesn't come to theaters near me (though I'd much prefer theaters).
Looking forward to Brotherhood episode 3. Hope I can hold out until I get home and not watch it on my dinky work monitor at lunch.

I hope they announced the streams for August at least.
The event just finished, it was packed. Brotherhood EP3 will be online in a few minutes. No EU release date for the movie other than streams and download available in less than 2 months and France getting a selected threatical release early September.

Did I see that right in the preview pictures for Brotherhood 3? Yuffie 2.0 will be in that episode?
There was a girl featured in the episode that looked like Yuffie 2.0 but I don't know if that's her or just a random Insomnia NPC. I wasn't paying attention, I'm waiting to see the episode in HD.

Blu-ray of Brotherhood announced. As an extra it also has some more Luna content. Reminds me of other animes like Jojo that encourages you to buy the Blu-ray with an extra OVA included.

Nope, Roen did, and it was a mistake.

We don't know how Iedolas and Ravus in the game look to make comparison, but so far only Luna seems to look different out of those.
I hope this means there's a plot reason why for her to look different rather than just because. Even Brotherhood keep her game looks.

Brotherhood episode 3 was great, just like the others. These short episodes are getting me more hyped about the story of the game than any of the trailers we've got recently. Not sure if I should wait for Kingsglaive on Blu-Ray since I've preordered the deluxe edition or stream it right when it launches...

Nah, iirc the clothing redesigns were part of a collab with a fashion company.
I also think it's weird we haven't seen her in-game model yet for a character that has been said to be very important to the story.
