So if Noctis stayed in Insommia he would be celebrating the upcoming wedding and peace treaty with Stella.. However he would be fighting his way to the throne room to reach Regis (by the e3 2013 trailer dialog you can tell what's going on) I guess Noctis would witness Regis death and Regis would tell him to go rescue Stella from the imperial army... Luna by the end of the movie is searching for Noctis and she's on the run with a ring to aid Noctis that Regis gave to her

Agreed. Prompto is so far my favorite one in the group. I usually dislike the "clown", goofy one of the party, and I honestly thought I would also dislike Prompto.
But the guy is just so charming. And he is incredibly badass when he needs to be.
EDIT: And I will say it again. When it comes to animation in video games, this game is almost untouchable. It's right there with Uncharted, in my opinion.

I liked Prompto before the anime episode but after I fell head over heels for him as a character. I hope that vulnerability that he shows in Brotherhood is present in the game.

I love Yuffie. I have no idea why I love the hyper "annoying" characters like Rikku/Yuffie/Selphie/Prompto. I just do. They have fun energy I guess.

This game feels no more "open world" than FFXII did. A series of large open locations that are connected at gates. Not a bad thing, I don't want this to be a single huge open playground like most "open world" games.
But this does feel very much like FFXII with a car to me.

_/¯ you know people have this perception of cloud being a badass but to me he's the most gloomiest of FF protags.. The remake is going to open people's eyes. Because back then many players projected their own voice into those polygon characters.For the record cloud is my second fav FF protag.

But I think Cloud's personality is one of the best aspects of FF VII. The biggest game's twist is related to that so I accept that Cloud's gloominess =p

When it comes to being gloomy, Squall takes the first place.
Cloud is not gloomy at all during the vast majority of FFVII. If anything he's pretty cheerful all things considered.
They better keep Yuffie calling Tifa "Boobs", or else I'll riot.

Really? I always felt it was the compilation that made him more gloomy. Thought he was optimistic and sarcastically witty in the game.
Let's see how he is handled in the remake. Voice Acting will change...everything
Fair enough. I actually liked Vanille ultimately on reflection (hated her back when I first played XIII). Have grown to find her needing to be overly happy to hide a gloomy truth arc to be kinda endearing.
That swoon at the end, though. I can't wait to unlock Prompto's Orgasmo Gun.

To me he comes across like that, not saying is a bad thing but Barret had to check him a few times to get it together.
All things considered I think Squall just don't give a fuck for the most part. So he's mostly detached from everyone. By the end of the game you can actually see the growth. I know KH doesn't count but you can see how he turned out.

My party was always Cloud, Yuffie, and Red XIII. The perfect balance. You've got the serious one, the funny one, and the holy shit this guy is crazy one. It all works out in the end. If FFVIIR has four character parties I think adding Cid, the alcoholic, would be a good addition. Or maybe Tifa - I don't know!

My party was always Cloud, Red XIII & Barrett (maybe swapped for Tifa at times). I knew about Aerith when I played it for the first time so didn't bother having her in the party LOL
