It will be so dumb if this significantly affects her numbers.

If you really had it you know how much it can make you collapse. I had it in late December / January too.

Multi lobar pneumonia in both lungs. Thought I had the flu and carried on working for over a week. Kept getting worse, going to the toilet every night felt like I was blind drunk, couldn't walk properly, couldn't think properly. It was fucking horrible. My skin started to go a grey colour, couldn't breath, coughing every minute.

Went to the hospital to be told I had a chest infection. They gave me Antibiotics and told me to rest. Carried on for another week until one morning it took me over an hour to get out of bed, struggled to get downstairs and when I sat down on the couch I had a weird feeling I was going to die if I didn't go hospital. I told my GF that if I went sleep tonight I wouldn't wake up. Bear in mind I'm 24 years old.

Went back to the Hopital, they gave me an x ray. Their exact words were "if you didn't come here today, you probably would have died". Turned out I had sepsis caused by the Pneumonia as well.

This is the x ray. I've posted it on GAF before. The white in the lung is the Pneumonia, whole left (my right) side and half the right.

Long story short. Yes it can make you faint and yes it's deadly.
Damn, I'm glad you went with your instinct there.

Think this is worth quoting
NBC News out with a on point article about walking pneumonia:

Hillary Clinton's wobbly incident Sunday is a near-textbook case of what can happen with "walking pneumonia" — patients don't feel great, but they're not sick enough to stay home in bed or to be hospitalized.

People often feel well enough to go about their business, especially once they start taking antibiotics. And once they've been taking antibiotics for a day or so, they are unlikely to infect anyone else.

But the infection can take a toll, making patients prone to getting tired and dehydrated. And since people often don't realize they have an infection, they can go for days or weeks before they seek treatment — all time for the infection to wear them out even more.

There you go. Literally everything is answered there. People with walking pneumonia are fine enough to go about their regular business, but could suddenly be prone to faints from dehydration.

And they don't infect other people.

I mean, her cough was from allergies. It's the first sentence in the OP. And then it actually was heat because her doctor -- again, in the OP -- said she was dehydrated and her pneumonia contributed to her near-faint earlier today.
I'm aware of what the statement says in the OP. I'm just saying, it's not surprising that people are pushing this narrative that something is going on with her health given what Trump's campaign has been pushing alongside the events that have happened within the last week.

If she was diagnosed with pneumonia prior to the statement released today, they should have disclosed it to squash the tinfoil hat theories that have now come to fruition.

I just had mild Pneumonia and it was the first time my mother ever had me ask her for the doctor's number. I was 23 at the time. It took me over a month to fully recover.

2nd, this is extremely worrying to be honest. Pneumonia are her age is typically re-occuring and far more serious. This is what killed James Brown, Bernie Mac, Brittany Murphy, Leslie Nielsen, etc. All fairly rich people too.
My grandmother died of pneumonia after a trip to NYC for the first time in her life. She went from healthy as a horse to hospital ridden 1 week after she arrived back from the trip.

Pneumonia is really fucking serious. I had it at 28, and it took me totally out for two weeks, I was so weak I had to combine my mid-day fridge trip with toilet trip as I couldn't stand up twice in an afternoon. My sick leave was 5 weeks. The only upside was that when I got stronger I 100%'d Fallout 3 in a week.

There is literally no way in which disclosing her diagnosis on Friday would have somehow "squashed" tin foil hat theories.

I expect her to recover soon without much interference in her campaign.

Sounds like moderate pneumonia, not that big of a deal.

Thinking that something like that can actually hinder her is crazy.

Edit: Fuck I meant aren't.... As in aren't the same.

Edited my post you quoted.

Shit oops.

What is walking pneumonia?
Walking pneumonia is a non-medical term to describe a mild case of pneumonia. It can also be called atypical pneumonia because the disease is different from more serious cases of pneumonia caused by typical bacteria.

Mild case.

The major difference between pneumonia and walking pneumonia are the severity of symptoms, with walking pneumonia having the least severe symptoms in most individuals

Did they say it was actually walking pneumonia? Just because she's walking doesn't mean she has a mild case. It wouldn't surprise me to see Clinton pushing herself through the campaign even with a serious case.

Wish her well and a speedy recovery.

People really don't take pneumonia seriously enough, especially in older people. Stuff is brutal.

Shit, I'm almost certain Trump is going to be elected.

It's time to start seriously looking into obtaining that Austrian working visa. I can't live in a country that's governed by a clown.

that's cool. but we don't need to worry about democrats, but independents and swing voters. and that's where this can be a big deal.

liberals, i am one, have been so clueless this election in handling Trump. The fact that's he is in anyway competitive is embarrassing.

There's been a pretty bad bug going around NYC, at least in the circles I know, alongside one of the worst allergy seasons we've had in a while. There was also a heat wave warning this week that warned against dehydration.

Since she's a candidate, hopefully they've given her the good drugs that they're cutting back on prescribing in general because they're worried that we're all growing immune. The crappy stuff they'll give you now takes weeks to fully work, but a z-pak or something on that level can have you feeling pretty great in about two days.

It is not embarrassing. The country is so partisan now you dont get landslide elections anymore. Obama 2008 is as good as you can hope for, and trump continues to be unable to break 42 in polls on average. He is doing horrendously according to historical precedence. Dont let me stop your nonsense about how well liberals should be doing. Emotions are fun.

It's just shit analysis. Not you. The tweet.

Many people who are even keel and reasonable are already voting for Trump. Sure, many are abhorrent people, but this type of handwaving belies an overconfidence that's not really earned at this point of the election.

Going by this thread, I'd say that people are taking it too seriously! Like she was dying or something!
If it was that bad, she would be already in an hospital, and I'm pretty sure her doctors can handle this swiftly.

Asthmatic here. Had all kinds of this as a kid

There must be disparate grades to pneumonia's severity. I was diagnosed with pneumonia when I was 8 years old; while I did spend 2 nights in the hospital, I felt as though I just had a cold. I was bored to tears in the hospital and just wanted to go home because my brother had just rented Shining Force II.

EDIT: I'm trying to say I don't think Hillary is on death's door.

Did a president die from Pneumonia? That would be some shit if she died as well from it.
"Not saying she should or anything, just the irony that would come from it"

Yes that's why what she has is called walking pneumonia. As in mildest form
