Haha, I was going to say this wouldn't get ponpo's seal of approval if it was still ex-kusoge.

So good to know they're moving on from EXVS. Pls be good and come out soon!

Just kidding anyway, I don't like maxi boost but if I didn't have to pay arcade prices for I'd play more.

Will play EVEN MORE if they remove melee

Something about the logo and no real name makes me think it will be f2p.

Bamco already has Ace Combat Infinity so not like this would be so different. 2000円 for 10 units of Gundam Fuel™

I mean Maxi Boost On balance has been even worse now than when it first came out.

At first it was 12~ pretty godlike suits with G Self being pretty fucking broken.

For weeks now it's been like 5 suits Nightingale, GP03, Zabanya, etc. massacring everyone.

I do appreciate that EXVS series has been reintroducing suits, with the most recent Jagd Doga.

Vanilla Maxi Boost On was the most fucking broken game ever. Master Gundam had a stupid hitbox for everything. Online was broken, movement was broken.

Not sold on this yet after the Force debacle and what I'm hearing about Maxi Boost (I'm not playing in arcades anymore actually).

Please don't screw up...

I saw this in my sub box and I was like yessssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Hella hyped. GVG was the reason I bought my ps3~ I still play it to this day. Man looking forward too it~ Even though the vita version is really diff and dumbed down, its still enjoyable to me.

Since it's a console game, they are probably going have to try a lot fucking harder to get people's money.

Would be interesting if this stayed a console only release since the video made a point of only showing the home releases of the VS games prior to this one. This plus the interview in Famitsu feels like it's pointing in that direction.

Perhaps they continue MB On even after the release of this game since it's still raking in the money for Bamco.

In the Famitsu interview I mentioned, Baba said they took into account the issues people had with Force when working on the new game.

This is a console only game. They said it was not based on any console release and is a new series direction for the PS4 specifically.

In.

I mean, sure, I'd like to see more suit confirmations and how they're going to nickel and dime me, but of course I'm in!

this is not hard

i just want balanced 2 v 2

healthy roster

local LAN play

eng subs for SE asia

it can reuse full boost assets (like the trailer did) for all i care but i really want this to be a great competitive game like full boost was

Good to know. I knew they were being very console specific for the 5th gen of Gundam VS (with the EXVS series being 4th gen), so it's nice to know it's console only for sure.

Probably won't get local LAN, but at least they're definitely looking into a worldwide launch with this.

Producer Ryuichiro Baba: We had an aim to provide different gameplays between Arcade and Console versions. The reason why PSVita's EXVS Force had a main focus on story was because we wanted to properly secure solo play to a new layer [of fans]. But on the other hand we couldn't live up to the expectations of the Gundam VS fans who have been about 2-on-2. We acknowledge that as a big improvement point.

Assistant Naoya Yasuda: The Arcade has a specific live sense of inviting friends. We're thinking of establishing a new gameplay that's specific to Console. Right now the hardware specs and infrastructure that can realize those have lined up, so we want to expand it not only in Japan but also to the World.

General Manager Yusuke Sasaki: If we considered the Arcade-based EXVS series as Gundam VS series' 4th generation, the next thing we should aim for is a 5th generation of Gundam VS that applies to Worldwide.

Naoya Yasuda: Actually speaking, that 5th generation of Gundam VS has already had the development progressing, with a new team that has Sasaki and myself in the center, as well as VSTG members who have developed EXVS until now. It still takes a bit more time until we can inform the details. In the 5th generation of Gundam VS, we want the title to be able to expand the invitation circle to worldwide where you can leisurely call new friends to "Let's do it together!"

Me too!
Since last entry have localization, I assume this one will get English version too.

That's what the plan looks like. :)

I'm fine with this not being a maxi boost port, however I do worry.

Please don't head for the direction like Gundam Battle Operation Next, and vs Force. Also with how Bamco is doing all the ridiculous amount of DLC...

Crossing my fingers.

I think they need to add some western robot as guest roster to make it appeal to worldwide audience.

uh...no thanks.

Hope it's the same type of high skill gameplay as EXVS, or close to.

And that it comes to the west.

Aside from them mentioning they're looking into a worldwide release already, simplifying the title from "Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Maxi Boost On Premium Bandai Mk7 Full Armor Next Plus Edition ver. Ka GFT" to just "Gundam Versus" is a good start for a global reintroduction. Plus there's wub wub and inception horns in the trailer music. :p
