Yeah. I kind of wanted to watch Foodsagi Drop and that video game one, but they just went by the wayside and I know I'll probably never get to them. It doesn't help that there's nothing really exciting on the horizon anymore... maybe more Gintama whenever that comes, but short of someone saying that they want to many a yuri anthology series based on Takamiya Jin's manga, I don't know if there's anything that would make me go into "hype mode". I'm sure I'll find something to watch next season anyway.
One of my favorites as well. The whole drinking game is amazing and the aftermath as well.

I tried watching Amanchu but two episodes in, I got the impression the gist of things is going to be: shy girl meets genki girl and, surprise surprise, slowly grows to not be so shy. Basically that Shaft cooking show redux but with diving instead and I was fed up enough with that show to continue with what seemed like its carbon copy.
Oh and there were almost literally, only 2 reaction faces constantly repeated during those episodes.

Well, it seems like you've found other things to be passionate about at any rate.
Personally watching Amanchu makes me violently angry, because I can't stand the heavy use of ugly super deformed characters that waste the actually attractive "realistic" designs, and because it feels fake, Stepford wife-like, in a similar way that Aria does. I wouldn't imagine many others share the intensity of my distaste for it however.

Another cool episode. Always nice seeing some more of the Twelve Guardians in action. Of which Cordelia is probably my favorite so far. I mean her special move is essentially summoning a

Yeesh, guys the Amanchu faces are fine. It looks silly. Honestly the hate for them really feels like an overreaction.
I mean, is it really wrong for an anime character to have a face that looks cartoony?

Well, the daces aren't the only reason I lost interest in it, it was funny the first time, then.. lol
Well, I can only speak for the pilot, but when that face is bad, is in huge contrast to every other aesthetic pleasing face, and is on display for 80% of that character's screentime, then yes it is.
The faces weren't the only problem, the character herself was awful and dissonant with the other characters. But they definitely played a major part on why I dropped it without looking back.

I started this series without knowing this would end Naegi's story and I complained that they left the ending to an anime. Now I'm just glad they did it so V3 could abandon this trash of a story behind and hopefully focus on the murder mysteries and trials.

I love good cartoony faces. I wouldn't call Amanchu's faces good or even cartoony, given how stiff and expressionless they are.

Like others have said, it looks like a Muppet face. Honestly, I think for an anime that's a pretty unique design choice. Then again though, I haven't seen Amanchu so I have no idea how it looks in motion, but on its own I think it looks kinda cute!
It's certainly not something I'd flinch in disgust at.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really sneering at Amanchu. Those Muppet faces. along with the rest of the show, just didn't work for me. For some reason, nothing about the show resonated with me. Don't take my personal dismissal of the show as a reason not to enjoy it yourself.
There's been a lot of shows this year that seemed to have met with positive reception that just didn't work for me...
Perhaps none more than this...
I don't get it. I felt nothing.

Yeah the Chinese Federation arc of R2 is easily the weakest of the show. I can barely remember how the big fight went down outside of it ending with Kallen getting captured by Britannia.

I came accross one of those amazingly awkward C.C. ass shots you all were talking about as well, lol. I really want to know what Sayako did to Shirley now though.. Also, all the Knights have enrolled into the school... wtf.

Eva Rewatch episode 1 (it's been over 10 years since I last saw it

my first two major thoughts.
1. the dub isn't to bad for how old it is. (note: I have the japanese subtitles on to read so it's not like even if it is a bad translation for the dub that it will matter)
2. it's nice to see a car that isn't CG driving around >.<;

the nerv logo has a nice design always liked it.
the we are lost gag feels weird even though the angel did wait for them seemingly
shinji freaking about the dark also feels weird but what ever.
overall, the first episode wasn't all that great. kind of boring, lots of shinji screaming, some of it justified some of it just annoying while the other characters just go suck it up and deal with it.
oh well, let's see how episode 2 goes.

it's always nice to see the hero get his ass kicked the first time.
it's really weird that a secret government program has their own disposable cup brand.
hehe it's 2015 (in show not that they have made that remotely clear yet) and gendou needs to figure out how to be HIP with the children (aka the human instrumentality program)
so the not gonna make my moves on the 14 year old is a creepy joke, even with misato seeming like she is 19-22. even more so when you know she is 29 >.<;
(my wife is super confused and angry about the wastefullness of bringing up the city when they function fine underground)
hehe it's weird seeing a sorry to intrude/welcome home scene. it makes me realize that the politeness of the japanese culture isn't seen nearly as much in anime anymore.
time to see if I still like pen pen, he was one of the only characters I recalled not minding from my original watch.
