For launch day, I've pre-ordered (on the PSN store):

Batman
Hustle Kings
Super Stardust
Tumble

I've also got Bound and Volume to be patched, plus all the demos :lol

Unsure if Driveclub VR will feel less immersive without a wheel so I'm gonna see what the demo is like. EVE Valkryie too.

Are you in Europe or Asia? I just checked the North American PSN store and Batman VR there still has no pricing or ability to pre-order. The only thing you can do is add it to the wishlist. What price are you seeing for it?

Decent amount of videos are starting to pop up on YouTube. One channel has short videos for about 7 different games

Also GameStop posted an unboxing for the launch bundle for those who were waiting for that.

Chocolate & Vanilla

Fuck Strawberry
Has anyone played both Pool games (VR or standard)? Which is better as I can't decide. I know Sportsbar has other games but I'm really only interested in Pool

So do I need 2 PS Move controllers for most games? Or am I fine with one and a DS4?

Only for Job Simulator and Batman, most of them are Move recommended but offer DS4 support.

Edit: 2 moves for all Move supported games, don't think there is a game that only uses one.

It's crazy how many people are still not aware of your list and then comment on no games. Would be nice for it to be pinned for around launch at least.

Do you plan on having the list in the OT too?

So do I need 2 PS Move controllers for most games? Or am I fine with one and a DS4?

I'd assume either 2 move controllers or a ds4

Believe me though. You want those 2 move controllers.

Man some of those cuts were rough lol I still greatly appreciate them taking the time to upload them though.

Rush of Blood - They start a new game and go through the tutorial bit at the beginning and then right when the "real game" begins it looks like they paused the game and took the headset off, so you're left thinking the character had a stroke or something.

Wayward Sky - They resume a game in progress and only show a small snippet of one of the puzzles. Pretty boring if you're watching it but having played a small bit of the game myself, even those seemingly boring parts are actually a lot of fun to interact with in VR.

Super Hypercube - A good showing I think. If you want a better preview I'd say check out Giant Bomb's vid of it but the perspective on this video is pretty cool.

Thumper - Thumper is such an a/v sensory overload experience that I don't think it shows particularly well in videos like this, but it's good at least to see where your focus is likely to be if you played in VR i.e. squarely on the scarab and not really being able to appreciate all the other crazy things happening in the periphery.

Job Simulator - Another good video. I've played JS on the Vive a ton and it seems like the PSVR version is a solid port. I liked how he was screwing around with things like tossing a mug into the air and catching it; shows of the tracking on the Move.

Going off the amazon price for the physical version, it'll probably be $19.99 USD

I was under the impression Shin Godzilla is just an experience to tie in with a movie. I doubt there's a physical release if that is indeed the case.

Oh, you are probably right. I didn't think about it that way.

I'm hoping they release the app/experience or whatever in the US, especially since that's the same week the movie is released in US theaters

That is also a good point! Maybe they'll have demos set up at theatres.

How the hell did I miss this video?
How were they allowed to show that, but not other PSVR videos?

Talking about GB? Probably because one of the developers was there showing it off? Dunno. It's not a PSVR exclusive-- or at least wasn't at the time since it was before they dropped Oculus support-- so maybe that factors into what they can or cannot show?

Any use for the Move Navigation controller? Or will I just be using the Move Motion controllers?
Right now none use the navigation controller.

Anyone that have seen the yourube videos before going private, how he managed to record a VR game not recording thw social screen???
does he put a camera on front of one of the lenses?

Aren't those the new share settings the Ultimate PSVR FAQ was talking about. He probably shared saved gameplay from his PS4 to youtube no?

I don't think it's explained on any of the videos (I gave a look at all of them and none seemed to say anything about that. maybe he was wearing a google glass? XD

I don't know.. we were seeing the viewpoint from one of the two eyes, un-unstretched or something. But maybe you're right.

Don't have any games pre-ordered. It's my first VR experience and have to try den demos first. Also...thinking about going full digital on PSVR games. Seems the way to go.

You will get 3D audio from literally any pair of headphones, in-ear, cirumaurual, etc. So long as it's plugged in via the 3.5 mm jack on the headset itself.

I will be be testing my in-ear Sennheiser CX's, my Sony Gold's, and my Bose on ear (forgot the model, they're about 6 years old and still sound amazing)

I have these.

Sony-MDR-HW700DS-packaging.jpg

9.1 Lossless Surround Sound headset that has its own breakout box.

I can set it to Stereo I believe... I'm sure it would still be lossless.

Sony's FAQ says that their 3D Audio would sound better than surround sound heatset...and to only use Stereo.

What I want to know is, will that really be true? Is the tech that advanced?

here is what I currently get for 7.1 games.. with the other two top speakers simulated or what it is called.

Is 3D Audio limitless or something?

also my headset is wireless...but like I said has a breakout box...I should be able to set it to stereo from the PS4 I believe (or maybe from the headset itself)

These were expensive....So I better be able to use them Sony.

Well crap. Had this thing pre-ordered for ages and just now realized I only had one move controller all along. How the hell do I randomly go this long imagining I had two? How do I forget something like this? Seriously.

*Sigh*

Do they have a 3.5mm port for a standard plug?

Just plug them into the volume control box on the HMD cable, that's all you have to do.

I cannot believe how overly complicated people are making this. You don't need to attach anything to an amp, a receiver or anything else, just the box on the cable.

Well, there is a lot to this:

Your headphones are stereo. You don't have 7.1-9.1 tiny speakers. The 7.1 or "9.1" is received by your decoder and it is your decoder that is doing the true work for your sound quality within your sound depth.

When you will be hooked up with a 3.5 jack, the PSVR will be acting as your decoder and controlling everything in the same fashion. You wouldn't be using your breakout box.

What it is going to come down to at the end of the day is the quality of the actual speakerss within your headset. What is causing people confusion are common marketing gimmicks from Astro, TB, etc. where people do not realize that at their core their investment is going into their mixamps/DAC and not the actual headsets themselves.

My understanding is that 5.1 and 7.1 provide sound on a horizontal plane, but 3D audio (as delivered via the PS VR breakout box) provides sound in all directions (above, below and at various distances).

If those headsets have a 3.5mm jack, you can plug them into the headset volume controller.

3D audio will be delivered over just about any stereo headset with a 3.5mm jack, even earbuds, though of course the actual quality of the sound delivered, as well as noise canceling would be better with what you've got.

I understand why audiophiles' instinct to bypass the breakout box in favor of their dedicated systems or surround sound theater setups, but in this instance, it would be detrimental to the VR experience.

No Job Simulator or Tumble VR pre-orders yet?

Also, think that the Gold headset's auxiliary cable will reach the PSVR audio connection?

I was just wondering this too:

I own two PS3 era Move controllers. They'll work with PSVR fine, but the revised Move controllers... Don't they have micro USB versus the mini USB connections for charging on the old ones?

My concern: that charge and display stand for PSVR... What USB is it sporting?

Meaning: that charge and display stand for PSVR... What USB is it sporting?

If it replicates the old Move charge stand the Moves charge using a contact rather than a USB connection, same as the DS4 charge cradle uses the port next to the headphone jack rather than the USB on the front.

Ah, gotcha.

I'm thinking that stand is going to become a must. So many devices, so few USB ports.

As far as I'm aware, there is no "revised" Move controller, it's exactly the same as the original and uses the same USB mini connection. Additionally, most charging stands don't plug into the USB, they use the small metal connectors on each side of the move's base to charge the device.

I noticed the GameStop unboxing video guy said there are 9 demos on the demo disc. I thought there were 16 for the US version?

There is a revision, but only to how they are packaged - they now include a mini-USB in the box (as a new PS4 owner would not have one already like PS3 owners did).

Edited out my comment, as to avoid misinformation. Yes, it's still the small sockets. =( More cables needed.

My headset is only Wireless. No 3.5mm Jack.

What I might have to do is set my PS4 to PCM (currently it is) > My Headphone breakout box > PSVR's Breakout box > TV

Set my Headphones to PCM 2ch.

tell PSVR to use TV's Speakers.. Which would be my Headphones in actuality.

Also my Headphones have a setting to make the sound also come out of the TV. (for Social stuff)

I just want Lossless sound to go with my VR. And if I don't sense a big difference, I'll just use my Sony Gold Headset.

But man... these Headphones have spoiled me. I watch every action/horror films with them.

Shit, even Miller's Crossing was Amazing with them.... felt like I was in that empty bar to start the movie.

Resident Evil demo was scary as shit... couldn't finish it cause too creepy.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the PSVR page on US PSN on PS4?
It's under the trending tab but I just get a blank screen when I click on. Stuff like Mafia 3 works fine.
