So... this is basically Battlefield 3 on Wii U ?
Exactly what I was thinking of.
So... this is basically Battlefield 3 on Wii U ?
Now read further. Only few more sentences to go.
And the video never implies it's a launch game.
Edit: even better, let me make this easier for you:
So... this is basically Battlefield 3 on Wii U ?
So it could come at some point in the future, ok. That's what I said. And I do find it deceitful to put a game in a video, that's announcing a new console, that it has not been confirmed, but hey.
PR speak for "please buy the ps4/xb1 ports, then we'll talk about the switch port."
This thread is a good litmus test for stupidity. Posts saying that Bethesda is dropping support from the Switch based on a post where they... confirm support, is one of the dumbest things i've ever read.
Any other platform and people would be saying "Bethesda come on, don't beat around the bush, we already know it's coming bla bla bla". Ugh.

None of the games in the video, except for Zelda, have been yet confirmed. Because there is a timeline for announcements. This video wasn't about announcing games (proof being that you haven't seen any release date for any game in the video) but for making a first introduction for the hardware. More info will come. This was stated even by Nintendo immediately after the video.
A lot of confirmed devs have been asked about the Switch and all of there responses are nearly identical to this wording

Which makes me feel like the developers are just under NDA (Bethesda included) until the full reveal
Wow, it begins.
And that's what we are all saying here. Skyrim is not confirmed.
Generally speaking, Skyrim was the strangest part of the Switch reveal video.
I'm all for more third party ports but getting Skyrim, of all things, just seems like a continuation of their (failed) third party approach on Wii U. Remember Deus Ex: Director's Cut, Batman Armored Edition, and ME3: Special Edition?
(I own all three for some reason.)
So... this is basically Battlefield 3 on Wii U ?
No, you were saying that it's deceitful to use it in the video.
Do you remember E3 2011?

DIRT
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Ghost Recon Online
Metro: Last Light
have never been released for WiiU.
Indeed. This is Wii U all over again...
Don't even know why they showed Skyrim in the reveal video. It's not the type of game I'd be jumping onto a Nintendo console to play.
Messaging, Skyrim is a signal that Nintendo is trying to get "core" games to their new system that people might want to buy.

Yeah but couldn't they have chosen a better game to make that point? Skyrim is some busted arse nonsense that only flourishes with a modding community. Like couldn't they get another third-party developer? Or hell, show Doom. That actually seems like a game people might realistically play on the thing.
Dude, it's Skyrim. The general public eats it up. It's one of the biggest games of the decade.Yeah but couldn't they have chosen a better game to make that point? We were told that after the NX reveal, 3rd parties would begin announcing games. Instead they effectively started to unannounce them.
As much as I think the game sucks, Skyrim was a critical and commercial hit that went onto become Bethesda's biggest game ever. Its visibility is not in question.
