The difference being that now they will have at least Mario 3d at launch plus a bunch of enhanced ports. At least.
Not to mention Rabbids X Yoshi. And then yeah, at least Splatoon and Skyrim. And surely more titles.

Well it's only a week later for Wii U, Twilight Princess was like a month later on gamecube right?
When did Nintendo say "simultaneously"?
Wii U's final L
It was a few weeks IIRC.
I think it was really close but limited shipment initially. I bought both version but I received my GCN one like a month later.
No, that'll be the cancellation of the Wii U version of Bloodstained
Hahahaha, the game won't even be ready in time for Switch's launch?
Oh Nintendo, what are you doing.
(Presumably everyone else already knew this, but I wasn't keeping up to date regarding Zelda BotW.)

no way the WiiU version has a retail release mid-2017 with zero WiiU products in stores,
I am calling digital only.

They've actually been using thay exact word since the Switch version was officially announced.
But yes, Nintendo does tend to change its mind, or have people flat out lie.
I feel really really bad for anyone who bought a Wii U hoping to play Zelda.
That's some fucking bullshit right there.
November 30, 2012- June 23, 2017
1666 fucking days, 4 years 6 months 24 days
I'd rather they dont show teasers of games coming 2+ years later this time. Dont want another SMT #FE, Zelda situation. It's also good that Monolith is working on something and more likely that a teaser might be shown at the January event if not later in the year.
They didnt release that in States? It's out in Europe since June.(I'm still waiting on that VC version of Majora's Mask though, I want to play it on the gamepad).

Laura Kate Dale in action again. She's also apparently been blacklisted by Nintendo UK now.
The Wii U version of YL is the only version being internally developed by Playtonic, so they will probably do everything in their power to make sure it runs well and leaves a good impression as their first game.
Oh wow, had no idea, but that's really great news. Hopefully this version turns out well then.To be fair, Playtonic is actually very focused on the Wii U version of that game. In fact, it's the only home console version they're personally working on, the others are being done externally. They said they want to give the Wii U version "the right attention". Obviously they want to appeal to Nintendo fans that grew up playing Rare's N64 games back in the day, like Banjo.
edit: basically what maxcriden said above
No review copies or invitation to press events.
I still think the Wii U version will get quietly canned. As I've said before, there's no way they'd release one of the biggest ever games for the system over half a year after they've stopped making the system you're supposed to play it on.
I thought they might do this a long time ago but there's no way they can it now. They wouldn't dedicate an entire e3 to a version of a game they just end up canningI still think the Wii U version will get quietly canned. If they can get copies of stuff like Devil's Third and #FE printed, I think they will print some copies of Zelda, especially after promising the game to Wii U owners.
I still see Wii games on the stores.

I'm still more intrigued by the Wii U version since I get the benefit of having the map on the gamepad instead of the TV. Unless the Switch version does this, or has some significant performance bump, I don't even want it on the new system.
I'll wait. The only game I want on Switch right now if the port rumors are true is Mario, to be honest. I'm fine with that as my only purchase.
Yup. Will do the same.So the WiiU came and went without its own Zelda title... That's just mind blowing!Getting both copies before the WiiU one becomes ridiculously rare.

She may be trusted by the gaming community, but never again by the industry.
What does the blacklist entail?
Clearly she had to know it was coming
You think the leaks are basically blowing up all the January surprises?
