Final Fantasy XV Impressions: Mark All Spoilers

It is more of an assumption but I'd go with B.

We get flying Regalia post-game and then we also get Adamantoise boss fight as a new side quest as soon as we return after the final boss fight, so there's definitely more content to be unlocked/discovered.
No hint of replaying hunts, even if they nullified exp so you couldn't farm the same battles over and over?

Ugh pls keep spoiler discussions tightly-covered here cuz typically there'll be someone who isn't mindful of their spoilers and makes it obvious what they're talking about :(

What I really miss in the full game is the cloud shadows. This brings so much more atmosphere into every game that uses it.
I don't want to start our eternal bickering again, lol...but I also sorely miss Episode Duscae's superior lighting. Especially indoors. Sometimes it is really off now.

Ty can you compare LQ vs HQ Pro mode with the character in fast motion? It looks like the TAA has less artifacts in HQ mode.

I'm just gonna ignore the lighting comment and say yeah, I miss the cloud shadows. lol

It still looks really good, but Episode Duscae had the best lighting I've ever seen in an open world game. Everything else kinda suffered as a result though, framerates were horrible and draw distance was ass.

IMO I think the best part about this game is all the secrets you will find along the way.

I really hope the part about only being able to find stuff via the flying car is true.

Alright, here comes the Pro HQ and Pro LQ/base PS4 graphics comparison in Duscae:

Strangely, there is hardly any difference. While we saw quite a big disparity in the early game section, this isn't the case here at all. The Pro HQ version looks actually a bit more washed out than the LQ/base PS4 version.

Not sure about the blur again but it could be a difference in lighting/weather and the HQ having more pronounced atmospheric perspective.

Random question to someone that already has the game and has Episode Duscae as well, can you take a comparison shot of the same location at roughly the same time of day? I don't know if I've seen any of that yet.

Let's pray they'll add them back in for the PC port.

Episode Duscae had real-time global illumination. I think it is all but gone now, or it is baked to some extent.

A similar picture in both modes would be hard to replicate, I guess. But I can tell you that there is indeed a visible difference. On LQ youl will see aliasing and in the Pro mode everything stays mostly smooth. Just the hair is an exemption, it for some reason looks ass in both modes. Not quite as bad in HQ but still visible.

Ha ha, PressSneak doing his thing. Psyched for super bosses but at the rate I play going to take me at least a few weeks to get to them :-(

This is the kind of thing I'd like to see added back in Pro mode. Wonder if it's possible...

I'm honestly extremely nervous for this game's review scores... Pls pls achieve a 90.

Why be nervous over them? Unless you own SE stock, you should be fine whether the game gets a 70 or a 90. Hopefully the game is good but it's hard to decide on that until you actually play it yourself.

Guys, are you honestly pretending you can't relate? XD
Of course one wants his favorite series or favorite game to do well. One wants to chant praises from every roof top. That doesn't work out if everyone else thinks it's garbage. :/ Everything below 80% is seen as garbage nowadays.

I can't believe this game is finally coming out...never thought I'd buy it but reading some impressions has me on the edge of jumping back into a final fantasy game for the first time since 12 came out which I really loved. Loving all the impressions everyone, both good and bad.

Inuhanyou

Believes Dragon Quest is a franchise managed by Sony
Tabata's plan all along-- turn everyone against one another, and they will no longer actually care about the game or what it scores.

That thread alone will probably make the roller coaster of this projects development cycle worth it to me alone

In that way, FF15 is already a resounding success in my book

My my, that's interesting. Makes me wonder how much is hidden or not unlocked until later on.

I'll probably end up overleveled in the starting areas since I have a tendency to try and do everything in an area before moving on, though I'd probably skip areas clearly beyond me until later. Likely the intention there to encourage you to go back.

I like most am curious about the adamantoise fight. I suppose I'm hoping it isn't too ridiculously long since it'd be a bit much to fight for that long as well as the fact I'm going to be putting up videos of a full playthrough for a friend. That'd be a pretty long multi parter unless I just sped it up quite a bit.

The only opinion I care about regarding this game is my own. FF games are too divisive to put any stock into what other people think about each entry in the series.

People will have their opinions, and that's great, but absolutely nothing you say can convince me that I should trust a review to tell me if I'm going to enjoy a Final Fantasy game or not.

This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square may alienate the entire market with this score.

Square, Final Fantasy XV better score above a 90 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Haha, it'll be interesting to see, that's for sure. But yea, naturally it'd suck to know you spent money on something that ended up reviewing poorly. But at the same time, for me personally, it's my first FF, so I don't have any of the baggage that a lot of other people have, nor have I been waiting for it for basically a decade. (Only really noticed it like last year, barely)

Plus I got it for $30 (Extreme savings!), so it'd have to truly be horrendous for me to come out wishing I'd never bought it.

Disgusting how much the impressions, even negative, are resonating with me.

I thought my clients were going to do me dirty and send the payments out late, so I wouldn't get this game until the 9th, but it's very, very possible that they'll drop on the 2nd. It's killing me to wait until I can use this entertainment money that I've worked for, but man if I'm able to get this game next week I'm going to have the good kind of a stroke.

As a Final Fantasy fan I want a review average I could be proud of, y'know? Like "hey, this is my favorite franchise"

The series means a lot to me, as silly as it sounds.

I get it. I've loved this series for 20+ years and I don't want it to die. Review scores are minor in my book, but they're one potential sign of series health.
