This is absolutely awesome. I had no hype for this dlc/expansion. I had fallen off the UC wagon after finishing UC4. But Chloe and Nadine? I'm fucking back!

Agreed. (Spoilers for U4)
She's one of the genuinely smart "villains" i've seen in a game. She got what she wanted and left. No reason for vendettas or risking her life.

Probably. There are areas in Tamil Nadu that probably fit with the trailer, and Western Ghats also fit nicely. Lots of Hindu mythology to explore there too - which is also cool since its rarely explored in games but full of stuff that would work well

I am probably so hyped that my mind is concocting conspiracy theories, but the guy with the glasses (don't remember his name) on the panel right now just said they 'put in a lot of work' to hide the reveal. In my mind that sounded like they fed the person who leaked (and was vetted by Laura Kate Dale) some false information.

I am going back to wearing my tinfoil hat to safeguard my hype, so do with this what you will lol

So will this be part of Season pass DLCs that you can launch from the main game like with TLOU and be bought as stand-alone like Left Behind? Or just a stand-alone game like a dedicated sequel?

I figured it was Chloe after hearing her grunts so much in Uncharted's multiplayer over the years.

I just hope that all the walking around sections are as well thought out as this demo's. And that it doesn't turn out unbalanced like the main game.

I'm glad Naughty Dog feels confident enough to let this balloon into whatever the team feels it needs to be rather than restricting them to a 2 hour DLC or something. I'll pay $30 or $40 or hell even $60 depending on actual content. Make it good and I'm there!

If you bought the Triple Pack or plan to buy the Explorer's Pack (which I believe is still available), you will get this. No idea if it will be installed to UC4 like Left Behind or if it will be more like Infamous First Light where it's literally entirely separate for everyone; but regardless, you will get it if you bought either of the above packs.

So, it's more likely to be like Left Behind but again it hasn't been 100% said from ND themselves.

I'm excited to see Chloe, since she was absent from U4 proper.

Nadine absolutely was the weak link in U4's cast tho, maybe they can redeem her here. And Sam wouldn't have been much better, either.

Drake killed like 1000 of her men. She was doing this to get her company back to the frontline of the goon-for-hire industry, wasn't she. I doubt the money she could get from the treasure would be worth it. Her final act is poor, just like the rest.

Some tidbits from the panel so far:

- takes place after U4
-Game is set in India (different locations)
-no supernatural elements, story is grounded like U4
-they are calling it a story expansion not DLC, it's longer than left behind but shorter than U4
-expanding the concept of wide linear, game will have parts that are more open than U4
- says Chloe is the best driver in the business (hint: game will have driving mechanics)
- says her fighting style and move set will be different from drakes
- story will explore who Chloe is and focus on the unlikely pairing of Nadine and Chloe

Will add more when they give more details

I agree about Nadine, but I do feel she has potential that wasn't tapped in the proper game. This DLC should be able to flesh her out really well and create a great story in the process.

In the beginning (when she meets Sully) she looks like a completely different, interesting character. I'd rather have Cutter or a new character than Nadine. She was done for and I doubt they can make her interesting after her role in the main game. Plus, if this is set after U4, why would Chloe be partner with someone who tried to kill Drake? And if they don't know each other, what are the odds you end up partying up with the villain from your treasure hunter friend's last adventure? It's just silly and screams of an attempt at redemption for a character that didn't deliver when she had to.

Seriously, what is it about Cutter that you're more interested in? Could he really be anymore different than Nathan? And using her lack of screentime as a knock against her when she was a supporting character is laughable. Not even willing to giver her a chance to shine in this new standalone. And that's where she should have much more focus than before, when she was up against Nate's relationship to his brother, mentor, and wife.

I like what I'm seeing with inFamous First Light , The Last of Us: Left Behind & now this standalone female lead Uncharted game this should happen more often,

Total shock surprise. I did not expect such a left field choice in terms of main character. Really happy to see Chloe return and more Nadine is much welcome too 😁 Can't wait.
