Uncharted: The Lost Legacy stars Chloe

As long as I get to shoot Nadine in the head by the end of the DLC I'm happy.

Seriously, how is she allowed to just walk away by the end of UC4 but Raif has to get skewered?

I do wonder if Chloe will know about her Mercenary past, I mean Nadine is a villain who have committed war crimes with her mercenary group which I'm not sure Chloe would be okay with. Maybe she will redeem herself or something in this DLC.

I don't think Nadine has ever commited war crimes. Chloe isn't exactly a pure hero herself. She's a criminal thief, and had no problems playing both sides to her advantage in Among Thieves.

I don't remember UC2 having mass bombing of a city although I do remember bombs going off. I don't know the rating criteria for M vs T. That footage just looked a lot more mature to me with the bombings.

Pretty sure violence has to have blood and gore for it to get an M rating. Explosions over a background aren't too much of a biggie.

The atmosphere certainly felt a little grittier though, no doubt.

It's never explicitly stated but it's implied her mercenary group were not a nice chap of folks. Take from that what you will. And while Chloe might not be pure I find it hard to imagine her willingly working with a war criminal especially post UC2.

They're not nice but I'm pretty certain they're not war criminals, in the shootout in the marketplace in 4 the Mercs fire off warning shots to get the civilians out of there before the fighting begins.

I'm sure there will be friction between their personalities but I can imagine that it's Chloe who seeks out Nadine's help and not the other way around.

Going by the fact that her mercenary group have been in several conflicts/wars according to an article about Nadine you can read in Nate's book and that her mercs (Orca and Knot) brags about war crimes in MP banter makes me question that

It's amazing that we've gotten here, on a 400 dollar box no less.

They've done a faithful job with the environment, you can almost smell that blend of uncovered earth and spice that's in the air in India.

I wonder what's going on though, India isn't exactly a warzone or rife for a hostile takeover. Sup with the bombs?

Is this meant to take place before Uncharted 4 or way after? EZA noted that Nadine seems older than in 4

They said it takes place after 4 in the panel. Edit: Though I didn't think Nadine looked notably older (maybe I will take another look), so not sure how far after.

Interesting. Did they talk about what the "lost legacy" refers to? I was assuming it has to do something with Drake

I don't recall anything on that specifically. They did make a point of mentioning Chloe's Indian background and the game taking place in India, so maybe something to do with that? I guess the artifact they are going after is called the Tusk of Ganesh.

Also in regards to it taking place after, it said this in Nadine's bio on the website for the game:

Following the dissolution of Shoreline after the events in Uncharted 4, Nadine Ross has become a free agent and gun-for-hire.

Wasn't too bothered by Nadine, but throughout the entire end sequence I was hoping that
Nate would be able to talk some sense into Rafe, so he could get out alive with them.

On topic, I'm hoping Cutter at least has a somewhat prominent role in the DLC.

This looks stunning visually, but does anyone else feel a tad uncomfortable with the subject matter? Generally I like dark, depressing war stuff, but this feels... weird for Uncharted, I guess. The tone whiplash between the incredibly grim atmospheric stuff and then the tag team karate was pretty extreme for me.

I know 4 made things a bit more grounded and serious, but this feels even heavier. Again, not that I mind heavy really, just, whoof, that feels weird in Uncharted of all things.

Chances of them actually being a couple?
1 to 1
1 to 15
1 to Mahvel vs Capcom Infinite

I suspect they'd lean toward the latter. You can't play the same card as in the Uncharted DLC without starting to feel a little one-note narratively. That doesn't mean the two wouldn't present as a couple in a situation where they think it would buy them an advantage, so I can imagine that if the game takes place in environments less oppressive than what we've seen so far.

They've been responsible for coups, overthrowing governments and lots of murder.

Nadine needed the treasure to boost her Shore Line capital (her father saddled her with a struggling mercenrary group),but it could be that she never really had a choice to be in that line of work.

Now that Shore Line's been wiped out during UC4's excavations,Nadine must've regained her personal freedom from this life style.(and she got away with some treasure too)

She's such a cool character.Lots of potential.

I'd love it if they're just gonna continue Uncharted with Chloe and Nadine. There's still so much potential to be mined from the premise of the series. I love adventure games like this.

And I loved that shot of the rooftop and the burning city. Cool colors.

Cutter x Chloe, 4 life.

I also agree with you about Raif, in fact I see Nate and Sam as the real villains of UC4. They were trying to steal the treasure from Raif, a quest he spent his life fortune on. He didn't want to hurt them they kept trying to steal from me. Scotland is the worst of this since he fucking OWNS the land all the hidden clues are on, thus Nate and Sam are trespassing on his property stealing his shit. He had every right to shoot them on sight. Yet, Nate and Sam are somehow cast as the heroes as they break onto his property and snap his security guards necks.

So the consensus right now is to buy the season pass before next week even if you don't care for multiplayer at all, right?

You critically misunderstand Rafe.

At first I didn't understood it was uncharted but I was thinking that the graphic looked really nice... also the setting was interesting. Then the reveal of chloe! :D

Really interesting, I love the idea of something that looks a little different... but I can't say that I would have loved also to play the Sam rumored DLC... :p

They fire off warning shots but still start a shootout in a crowded city. The truck chase afterwards also shows them giving zero regard to civilians.
I really hope ND doesn't just ignore all that.

Yup, the ND blogpost says to grab it while it's hot for a great saving so it's bound to work out cheaper. :)

I wonder if the Uncharted franchise will continue with Chloe or someone completely different. If they want they can go 100 years into the future and have a descendent of Nate doing some Star Lord shit.

Naughty Dog said they're done with Uncharted so this Uncharted 4 Story DLC the last Uncharted game from them but Sony can give the IP to another company to work on

Elena>Chloe

That's just a fact my friend.

Yeah I never liked Chloe. She strikes me as the girl you are with until your actual wife comes along, wo happens to be Elena.

My memory of Uncharted 2 is a little fuzzy but if I recall correctly they tried to make her like Selina Kyle. Double agent like.

My parents are getting my children a PlayStation 4 for Christmas. That means I'm getting one too so I will finally be able to play Uncharted 4 and see who this new black character is...

Aw yeah, love me some Chloe... She's such a sultry little vixen. Elena might be the one you take home to meet your parents, but Chloe's the one who calls you daddy in the sack. That's way more fun! lol.

I always thought that Chloe was as one dimensional of a character as they can be so I'm thoroughly perplexed by the abundance of positive reactions to this here.

Just watched the trailer. I have no idea how much of that was gameplay but I loved the atmosphere and the visuals. Love the screams in the audience after Chloe reveal.
