Shit, people. I thought you'd be happy. DC is upping the game with female-led superheroes, or villains in this case. This can only be good, no?

So they have enough confidence in Ayer to helm a second movie and yet they didn't have enough confidence to let his vision of the first movie even be shown in the DVD cut. I don't get it.

You want late 40's Bruce Wayne to be fucking an early 20-something Selina Kyle? No fucking thanks. We already had The Killing Joke tackle that fucking poorly...

Who says Batman is gonna hook up with Catwoman? This can be an all women lesbian orgy. That's what the fans want.

IMO. They just need to let Ayer and Margot do their thing. They really fudged by getting too involved.

if there really is some "Ayer version" that he championed but got shit on, I don't think he would be so quick to sign up for another one.

at this point just accept that the theatrical cut is what Ayer wanted

There is always a lower level of hell waiting for us

Gross. I don't wanna see what Ayer has in mind for poison ivy and the other chicks

Looking forward to bright tho tbh

Anyways it's freaking shameful that WB is only 1 year into their cinematic universe and they already have 2 female led projects in the pipeline

Meanwhile at marvel......

I'm guessing this takes the second 2018 slot now that Flash stalled and Batman is 2019

Eva Green for Catwoman

So you can stick these characters in anything and it'll make bank. No need to stick with directors of bad movies.

DON'T TALK SHIT ABOUT STREET KINGS

Margot Robbie is perfect as Harley Quinn and David Ayer has shown he can make good movies so, sure, lets see where this takes us.

They movie made bank. He directed it. Probably had a great working relationship with him too. These people don't care what critics think. They aren't paying the bills.

The studio just need to let Margot and Ayer do their thing honestly.

I don't know. What exactly is Ayer's thing?

Here's how his directed films have averaged on Rottentomatoes.

Sabotage - 20% (2014)

Suicide Squad - 26% (2016)

Street Kings - 36% (2008)

Harsh Times - 48% (2006)

Fury - 77% (2014)

End of Watch - 85% (2012)

I feel like David Ayer has directed more bad movies than good movies.

I will forgive him for his shitty movies and Suicide Squad tho if we get Eva Green and any combination of the 3 ladies in that huntsman movie

Street Kings and Harsh Times are better than those scores would have you believe. Sabotage was pretty bad though.

Harsh Times and Street Kings are quite under-rated though.

The most tragic thing is that they have fucking Scarlett in their roster and won't give her her solo-movie.

I'd rather him make his own movie and fail, then have the studio do whatever mishmash they tried to do with Squad. I even thought squad was ok, but you could definitely see the differences in tone throughout the movie.
