Probably answered but: Who was that annoying demon in chapter 13 that chase across the level and when you finally kill it, it makes some comments that I didn't care to pay attention to?

Edit: Tell is not the emperor or that old dude general.

It is indeed the emperor Iedolas Aldercapt

It's the Emperor, yeah.

Everyone knew he had to die, his brothers, too... when you realize this you start to see the game with more positive eyes, and even smile each time you see the silly photos; the game is awesome in that aspect :) we could learn a thing or two from this game, it's a shame that the story isn't more fleshed out yes, but it's so damn sweet and sad at the same time, like life itself.

Foras being Iedolas and revealed through an easily missed remark during combat is something I will never get over, lol. Even Gestahl had a more dignified death.

That's why after I platinummed the game, I went to Insomnia and feel the ending again. It just feels so...satisfying.

Do you know what happened to the old dude that was beside Ravus? It was some kind of general or commander. Obviously he died but... do we fight him in some monster form or something?
No we don't know what happened to him. Maybe also turned into a daemon l.
But I'm very positive that we will know it in Prompto's DLC since it's stated in the guide book that he is Prompto's biological father.

You pretty much have to kill Ignis first lol. I beat them in my 70s but it generally comes down to Armiger and killing Ignis so they will stop healing eachother.

Ribbon for Prompto, never let him hit you with that recoil shit, instakill even at lv99

I just saved Gladio for last, he seemed to evade the least but a few of his moves seem to OHKO so i just avoided him

Ignis was the white mage, Prompto was the black mage, Gladio was the point DPS/tank

Yeah, figured that after my first defeat! Ignis is a healing machine.

I really loved that fight, it was pretty difficult and I was always on edge. Not a single moment to catch a breath.

But seriously, Pitioss Ruins is just so damn awesome. I had a ton of fun finishing it, even though Noctis was NOT made for platforming.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
There have been many discussions about the OST of the game and many (me included) think the OST has incredible highs (based Yoko Shimomura!) but many lows (generic and repetitive outpost and town music) as well. As it turns out we have to thank a guy called:
Tetsuya Shibata for all of these lows. I'm gonna keep that name in mind. D:

Found it here on the tracklisting of the complete soundtrack:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pE2odTbrKI
I think he's the one who did Hellfire though.

I haven't really enjoyed his work since DMC3; and the bulk of his contributions here are no exception. Though alongside Suzuki, I also quite liked a few of Yoshino Aoki's tracks. Kind of amusing that so many ex-Capcom composers ended up on this game - not just the Unique Note artists, but even Shimomura herself.

This is still the incomplete composer/track list -- it lists Shimomura as the sole composer of Ravus Aeterna, and credits Uematsu for the chocobo tracks when we know someone else arranged them.

This chapter is one of the shorter ones, But i'll run down what I did and what I noticed :3

- Decided to head to Myrlwood first and get the star of the rouge. Honestly, having elemental res. buffs only makes it pretty useless this chapter, but I may use it if i decide to grind for the 3rd accessory slot :p

- Found out that the Shield of the Just is the GOAT defence weapon. Defending with it puts gives you the "crouch hiding" boost so your HP regens like crazy at the cost of MP (which seems to be proportional and not absolute, so if you play with lots of MP your MP will look like its draining fast, but if you have little MP it drains slow). But due to it lowering your attack like crazy I needed to also equip the axe of the conqueror. yeah... (as an fyi, this build right now leaves me with measly MP (~28 mp iirc) which makes Warping and whatnot not as useful as it once was, but makes warp points that much more important. I can't wait until I get the sword of the father)

- Myrlwood enemies are kinda annoying (mandrakes especially) at level 1, so I just sped through it and skipped fights.

- Did the required dungeon and got the mythril. Aranea is a beast to fight with. Highwind doesn't do nearly as much damage as you'd want for an attack worth 3 tech bars, but her normal attacks as a party member are crazy good (like 3k aoe's for example :D )

- Quartilqoitl goes down like a chump, as do ignis and prompto lol.

I noticed in the Roberto Ferrari thread people were... complaining a lot about some of his designs (namely Cindy and Aranea). Not big on Cindy's over sexual design nature (though I really do like the use of colour and fabric design (something that stays true for a LOT of his work)) but I really have no issues with Aranea. Some people (who are entitled to their opinions, mind you) seem to suggest that the boob window ruins the whole design, to which I completely disagree. It really ignores just how involved and amazing the rest of her design is (though, I will add I could have done without the boob window myself, but I digress).

The wings on her back, how her hair is tied to look sorta dragon-esque, to the executioner mask, to the robes, to tails from the helm, to her lance, and even how red and black are used throughout her design, it all gives off a heightened demeanor and fits her character so well. She's out of place and steals any screen time away from other characters, because that's what she is and does. Say what you want about the boob window or Cindy's oversexualization, but Ferrari knows how to handle colour, fabric work, and how to show character through their clothing. I'm actually really interested to see his character designs in FF7 Remake, personally.

I'm really gonna question some people's integrity when Zodiac age comes out and no one complains about Fran or the lack of female characters in the plot. :p

Well anyway, I'm almost in Altissia and I'll probably do a bit of AP grinding before I head there. I currently have ~1500 hp while my allies have ~500 lol.

Oh and in case anyone has wondered, no I haven't used equalizing food once this playthough and I don't plan to either!

Regrettably, those credits are probably the best we're going to get. All versions of the soundtrack are confirmed as not having detailed composer and arranger notes.

Damn, that's frustrating to read. Square's generally been good about crediting individual tracks to composers on their OSTs -- at least their FF CDs.

Made another video for the "landing the Regalia is too hard" people.

Note how I'm not even being careful here. People complaining simply suck at it.

https://youtu.be/pHtzakEPFZ8

Landing isn't "hard".

The problem is sometimes it can be a bit finicky and it doesn't auto-correct like you'd expect it to(This isn't some kind of flight sim after all....).

Either way, regardless of how hard it is, I don't think it should give you a game-over.

Here's the proof that I did actually get the Black Hood, and it wasn't all some terrible nightmare.
Man, that's gotta be soul crushing.

.

Exactly, it's not hard.

All that it takes is for you to align with the road and don't dive into it until the landing mode has been deployed. Yet people keep blaming the controls and the mechanics themselves, instead of their own incompetence.

I do agree that crashing shouldn't cause a Game Over though. It could send you back to Hammerhead for repairs, but even then we would have people complaining about that.

The fuck?! That dude is Prompto's dad? Shit, that was something that needed to be mentioned in the actual game. I was straight thinking that Empire security was so shitty that a normal citizen could access the Emperor's chambers and was confused as to why Prompto was so overdramatic about being a citizen of the Empire.

It's common practice to credit a composer for their work regardless of where it's used (FF Prelude, Opening theme, and Chocobo theme for Uematsu in this case), though the arranger should be listed too.

Kinda weird to see a lack of credits on somewhere like VGMDB, when WoFF has an extensive listing.

So do I have to discard the other items if I only focus on one? Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

no.

okay so a few things:

- is he already working on a weapon? If so, most weapons require 2 sidequests and and night's rest before he is ready to give it to you. He can only upgrade 1 weapon at a time.

- are you sure you have the materials for the upgrade? Make sure in the quests menu.

- what weapons have you upgraded or want upgraded?

Did Nyx have anything to do with this game? I beat the game and I didn't see any story related things showing his relevance at all.

Nope, he's a throw away character for the movie. A stand in for Noct when they removed him and the bros interaction with the fall of insomnia.

well... I mean he died in the movie and outside of the events of the movie happening, they aren't overly important to the game's story.

He does appear as a easter egg as one of the hanging bodies that Ardyn puts up as an illusion when you enter the throne room.

I'm trying to upgrade my engine blade. So the quest asks that I give cid a gemstone. I walk up to him but there is no quest option, he just talks to me and nothing happens.

On a side note I've done multiple side quests and slept but nothing seems to work.

okay, so he probably doesn't have a current item for upgrade then

For the Engine blade you need a Glass Gemstone (other Gemstones won't work since they have other uses like the earth gemstone being used for upgrading another weapon), you should already have this quest in your docket.

There should be a Glass Gemstone in front of Lestallum on a cafe table.

Cool.

I was confused because the quest said for me to give him the gemstone. I assumed I already had it, but now that I'm checking my inventory I can't find one in there. Thanks for your help, I really thought my game was glitched.

The hard part comes after that upgrade. You'll need to get a sturdy helixhorn if you wanna upgrade it further. Good luck with that (its a rare drop)

It's really not so bad, get the food that increases drop rates (or the new accessory) then use a heavy weapon to break their horn.

How come Prompto can toad you when you fight him in training battles?

When you fight him, he uses equipment he doesn't have on and abilities not learned either.

For example: he can use an auto crossbow even if you have one equipped.

Even then, abilities don't have the same effect as they do normally.

For example: Starshell causes confusion.

I just assume its a ability that is given a different effect. Probably the bioblaster or something.

Beat the game tonight. The story was very disjointed and just open up new plot details out of fucking nowhere, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I don't know if I want to do the postgame stuff as I spent 160 hours already.

I might do new game+ though just so I can do that baller as fuck Levithan fight again (seriously, that whole fight was just amazing start to end... the boss music there enhancing everything).
