Fuck. I just realized I accidentally preordered the Wii u version through amazon. They're out of the switch version so I guess I'm out 10 bucks cuzni can't preorder through them. I'll hopefully be able to pick up a copy on the day of at GameStop or best buy. Gonna head lot of running around to make sure I get it tho.

In regards to frame rate, the general consensus seems to be that in docked mode there are drops semi frequently but in handheld there are none?

Seems a bit weird to me since the GPU is clocked 40% faster in docked mode, which should more than make up for the increase in resolution from 720p to 900p.

Hopefully this is an issue that is fixed on day one with a patch.

I haven't heard semi frequently. If anything most reports were saying it's infrequent.

Yeah, if anyone wants to get even more hyped, listen to this week's Waypoint podcast. Austin talks to Patrick about Zelda for awhile and it all sounds fantastic.

The consensus is that docked mode had more frame drops than in handheld, but they are infrequent. And GameXplain (and everyone else) has played enough of the game not to consider it a major issue. Handheld still had drops, just less. Most of these drops are even more infrequent once you get out of the beginning area.

Ehhh this vídeo is amazing but it also shows a bit of a town. I thought that was under embargo. Well it doesn't show any npc at least.

One question though, is there any video that shows how Link gets a street dog to accompany him? Like Wolf Link but without the amiibo. Also some that shows any mount that isn't a horse, if that's possible even?

Ugh, I'm REALLY starting to regret leaving my Wii U at my parents' house, since I won't be back there until late April. Staying away from spoilers and playthroughs that long is gonna be almost impossible!

In the Treehouse stream following the presentation, the guy tried to feed the horse an apple but the dog walked over and ate it first and started following Link.

Yeah it breaks embargo but that was most interesting one for everyone who're used to the plateau since E3. Though, that mean, we're going to discover much more when the reviews are gonna drop, I can't wait!!

Oh actually, I know, but I'd worded it like that because some would think it's spoilery. Also actually that's why I want to see it, because I already know it exists. ;)

Yeah I saw that but I don't know if it shows the dog's hearts too and you can go full adventuring with him. I'm trying not to buy an amiibo here and also I'd prefer a real nice doggy over a wolf (Link).

I don't know if I can handle more info. I'd actually prefer it with embargo forever at this rate, lol. Also I don't even care for scores.

Piece of advice for everyone, stay the shit out of the spoiler thread's first couple posts. :'( lol

Looks huge and fun. PS2 graphics though... seriously. Washed out and flat with very little detail. I find it hard to believe that it was the actual art direction choice, but more of a hardware limitation for how big the game/world actually is.

Why do people got to be so hyperbolic all the time? why not say ps3 / 360 graphics like how it really is, do you have to write something outrageous that will piss people off?

I think I'd be perfectly fine with it if they kept using this games artstyle for all future 3D Zelda games, even though I really appreciate how they keep changing things up.
It's such a great look.

I'm a bit disappointed by the capture system from the switch. Do you think we have any chance that they change (or give the option to change) the capture format ? It's possible through a patch no ?

Yeah, I'd like them to make all future LoZ to look like this, make it a feature like Gibli movies having the distinct art style. They are all different but still have the same feeling of a Ghibli movie.

Would be great...

They should make a LOZ movie in cooperation with Ghibli.

I wish Nintendo would branch out into other media more often, like they did for a while during the 80's and early 90's

Yeah, they could update it. There's likely going to be a lot of things added to the OS over time.

It's going to be hard to discredit the numerous amounts of 10s the game will potentially get.
There is already someone arguing "cuz Zelda Brand name" is the reason Zelda will get a lot of 10s. I guess Press Sneak and colleagues need to sort out their bias ffs ;)

Edit: In terms of Metacritic, I think the game will score 95-97 based on previews and the Edge score, so I will put 96 down here.

You reviewed the game?

I don't understand these numbers battles anyway, it's Enter the void.

I think it's a prediction based on the previews and initial impressions.
I don't really like scores in video games except to give a general impression of an unknown title but this is still exciting.
