This games reminds me more of Just Cause 3 (in a good way) than Horizon or any other game, lol.

The fantasy aspect(as well as climbing) make me think Dragon's Dogma for some weird reason even though in most aspects they're not even close.

On that note I would gladly buy a Switch version of DD

The paraglider is one of the best ideas they've had for the series.

(Honestly, if it weren't for Skyward Sword they probably wouldn't have been able to implement a lot of the really cool ideas for this game. That game took one for the team.)

Definitely. Looks like a physics play ground with less emphasis on moment to moment combat scenarios and more setting up and doing really cool shit with the tools the game gives you. Very different type of open world game which is good, beca use swapping between them stands less of a chance of becoming stale.

Has anyone mentioned if enemies and the environment regenerate? For example, if I run around Hyrule and chop down all the trees will they be gone forever?

Mine is pretty and pink
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT| It's dangerous to go alone

Though maybe an overused quote I kinda like it in a context for what this game goes for (Being more like zelda 1 in freedom)

EDIT: Oh didn't see the thing above.

You know what, I'm glad Super Mario Odyssey isn't a launch game. Zelda has almost undivided attention near its release.

Wait, what? There is going to be an actual reason for re-population of mobs and environment? I just assumed "you know, video games". Please do not spoil what it is though.

Correct. (at least for mobs, I'm not sure about the environment itself) Details are out there so be careful!

Sigh. No, people, I wasn't joking but I wasn't either trying to start a polemic conversation. I was just trying to get a direct quote from the magazine because I've read it gets below 20 and that's bad.

And yes I know about Ocarina and its scores and its performance and we're thankfully way past that now.

Of course no game is perfect but then there should be no 10 score games then, imo, and technical aspects can be as distracting as bad gameplay mechanics. But that's just my opinion, so move on.

It's clear at this point that the game will be something else in any platform.

Yeah apparently they justify it in-world. Wish I didn't get spoiled on it, seems like its gonna be really cool to discover on your own

There's indeed a solid reason for when mobs regenerate.

According to the IGN talk with Bill Trinen, pushed boulders appear on top of cliffs again when returning to an area. Seems like the "environment puzzle" would stay the same, or something?

My dream game is a Rail Shooter with Snowboard movement. In the former, the character is unavoidably always moving forward, so adding a layer of movement options would only enhance the gameplay. They could also go all crazy with the settings and have not only snow mountains but also sand dunes or volcanos.

I believe this is the closest I will get to the dream.

Sequel to Link's Crossbow training! Link's Wild Ride.

Some of the boss fights in WW:HD had pretty big occasional drops.

I don't really remember boss fights frame rate that well. But the standard gameplay was smooth except cannon fire. BotW drops some frames with the standard gameplay occasionally even in the Switch version. Wii U is propably worse.
