In one defense of FFXV
I doubt any game is gonna top its OST for years to come.

Nostalgia clouding reviewers minds again. Shame.

Nier has though. This is all subjective and what not of course, but yea...
/s?
So if you get framerate dips on the second dungeon as this user reports will you then score P5 a 0/10?
Or occasional drops in cities and battles as well.
I bet you P5 will be so good it won't matter for most people, just as it doesn't for most people/reviewers in the case of BotW.
I'd say it's a 9 too. Dungeon crawling is better than any I've played, presentation is super slick and the soundtrack is mostly strong.
Gravity Rush 2 also has a fantastic soundtrack. As does Yakuza 0, best in that series too, I think. Danganronpa V3 music also sounds excellent. I'm really looking forward to the new Mass Effect for the music alone. Prey's soundtrack is going to be sublime too (Mick Gordon doing synthwave? Heck yeah). This is such a great year for game music.

Dantis have a heavy P4 bias and is hellbent on decreasing expectations from p5 which he believe are too high, after playing through it without japanese knowledge
There, I felt like this disclaimer is necessary
This. Even I who have what I'd consider a fairly okay Japanese knowledge at the moment still feel like I would need to revisit it again in English for a 100% comprehension. Someone with zero knowledge of Japanese commenting on the story from their JP playthrough is null imo. No offense meant.Dantis have a heavy P4 bias and is hellbent on decreasing expectations from p5 which he believe are too high, after playing through it without japanese knowledge

It is on VitaReally wish this was coming to the switch... Too bad the vita doesn't get games like this anymore.. This genre is amazing on the go..
Who is that girl to the right

Who is that girl to the right
I'm really hyped for this game, granted I will play it on my PS3. I just didn't see why I would need a PS4 for that, only to get a 1080p upscale -my tv can handle that fine already thank you.
Protagonist of Tales of Berseria
The main character in Tales of Bersaria.
Though if we're limiting it to 90+ games, the crew is still P5 Protag, Link, and 2B.
This seems like a weird part of the post to quote.Be honest man, you said you don't know any Japanese so how can you comment on the story in this game which has LOTS of text?? I'm sure 98% of the scenes/dialogue were unintelligible gibberish to you. Even if you read a translation or someone's synopsis on the story it's still not as good as understanding it natively in context as it happens.
Technically, P5 is a 2016 game and Yakuza 0 is a 2015 game...

I have reasons for not liking the story. They are not related to the dialogue (that I did not understand). They are related to the core events that go down. Twists are telegraphed really obviously and the game feels the need to spend thirty minutes going "WOW, I BET YOU NEVER SAW THIS COMING" and the serious personal themes of the early dungeons get pushed aside for high stakes save the world garbage.
I said it's a great game, bro. No need to be insecure about it.

It's all new for us though!Technically, P5 is a 2016 game and Yakuza 0 is a 2015 game...
Edit: Nevermind. I'll just say this. Play it again in English. Your comments sound like it missed a ton of context and the "core events that go down" has everything to do with the early parts. It literally makes no sense to say that given the blatant role the characters play in the game. This seems like a weird part of the post to quote.

The above argument with Dantis should probably be spoiler tagged in several places.
... or removed from the thread entirely.
Let people go in fresh, seriously.
No, it's all self contained. But you have 24 days to play P4G, one of the greatest games of all time. Time to hop to it!Sorry for if this has been asked but do I need to have played the other previous games to play #5?
And with that, I'm outta here. Been reading to keep up since I'm now off work. But I skipped to the bottom of the page to see how long it went, and then saw your warning. I don't know what it is, but good on you. I've stayed away from media for this game for close to a year now. It's un-bear-able. You saved me. I owe you a beary big bear hug.The above argument with Dantis should probably be spoiler tagged in several places.

That sounds just like Persona 4 lol.
