Regardless of the matter lightning will be touched, you wanting it to be on par to let's say Tekken 7 to give an example im sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No it doesn't need to look like T7.

If the final game looks like this i'm happy with the graphics.

If it keeps looking like in those official gameplay trailers with the flat lighting, dead eyes, boring backgrounds, washed out colours etc. i'm not happy and im sure most people wouldn't be happy either.

The only way you're going to see changes to the looks is:

A. This is on an older build and they've already made the changes.

B. Patching it afterwards ala KOF.

Even before the after release patch, KOF got some late polish. If happens all the time.

That's 5 months before release, not of development. They also have to submit the finished game for certification etc.

So it's probably more like 3-4 months of development left.
You know full well that in 5 months the graphics can change. Like in KoF 14, where they continued to improve the graphics until AFTER release.

No these graphics aren't T7 which is the best for a fighter right now IMO. But...I'm fine with these graphics. The video warmed me up to them. It's an interesting style. Not mega realistic but also not mega cartoony. Just a unique mix. One thing that's struck me about this game is that it didn't have a unique style. I can honestly say that this video is at least pointing me towards that.

I'm good on the graphics now.

The UI could help the presentation tremendously as well

Really hoping that UI was just a placeholder UI. I'm getting more confident that maybe it will be revamped but still similar.
I honestly don't mind the HUD as much as most people do, it's simplistic & to-the-point (but I do think that either the HUD should be shrunk down a bit or have the camera zoom out a little). Though to be fair, I didn't have a problem with SFV's HUD, so take that for what you will.

The Hawkeye/Chris combo looked really hype. As mentioned before the visuals need work, but the gameplay looks like Marvel.

Still feeling that high about the RE5 Chris confirmation. Alongside some Rival Schools characters, seeing Chris back, particularly sporting his RE5 look, was what I wanted most from this game, roster wise.

Has anyone who's played this seen anything regarding this tidbit?

I always loved this kind of stuff in fighting games like in UMVC3.

Only noticed it between X and someone else. I think Ultron?

I believe Ryu and Chun Li also had one.

Oh! That reminds me, I got one story detail that wasn't in the trailer. Instead of working with Jarvis, Tony's hologram AI partner is Dr. Light.

Dr. Light also has a "museum" in the game for you to unlock profiles and artwork.

Same here, the only thing i wish is that the UI is scalable, it's definitely a tad too big for my taste.

But overall it doesn't look that bad to me. I'm more concerned about the overall graphics.

Liking what I'm reading so far. So happy to know that a new MVC game is on the horizon.

Hype for X domination. Hopefully if Phoenix Wright is still in he receives some well needed buffs

The more I hear the more I'm loving this

The Game Informer article mentions that, sounds neat.

Do you remember what those particular characters said to each other?

Because Ryce said dp was out and replaced with the shortcut which is not true at all

Its been confirmed that down-down motions for DPs are in that build but for other characters; not for Ryu. Ryce's source was correct.

John D is incorrect. I imagine John D was likely referring to a decision that was made after that build.

Hah! I like that!

They really going all in with the MMX-flavored fanservice, this time.

It's enough to make me wonder if MvCI really is a nice marketing vehicle to prop up his own series' (hopeful) revival.
