Guess i'm in the minority here. But i'd rather have the best possible looking game running at rock solid 30 fps than having a meh looking game with variable fps.
I am somewhat concerned about this changing the feel of the gunplay since Destiny if anything is such a good feeling shooter and halo 5 was not. But I also prefer tomb raider on PS4 Pro at 4K 30 running it at 60 almost makes me motion sick.

60 fps is worse?

I'm with you. I have zero issues with the amount of fps in Destiny 1. It feels a bit weird switching from a 60 fps game to Destiny, but you get used to it after a few minutes.

Nah, 60fps all the way for me. The fact that Destiny 1 looks very close to the last gen version makes me believe we can get the same (or similar) visuals on current gen at 60fps.

Do the right thing, bungo.

At the very least, it could be 45-60fps on PS4-Peasant/Xbox-Peasant, and 60fps locked on PS4Pro/Scorpio. I mean that's how Battlefield 1 is, and it's one of the best looking games this gen. Luckily I have a PS4 Pro, so I'd be cool with that

I'm getting more and more excited now as well. But man...please, please Bungie, get a new voice actor for Lord Shaxx. I can't take anymore of his awful, mismatched voice and eye-twitch-inducing quotes.

It just depends on how it feels 60fps or better is great as long as it doesn't mess up the gameplay. Or hitting 60 but sacrificing visuals.

There is a reason I have 2341hrs on Xbox and 271hrs on PlayStation. I feels good to shoot shit in Destiny.

What in the world is this nonsense. I hope it is uncapped on pc so I can play at 144hz. Freaking loved the first game, and they did an amazing job making that 30fps feel really good. But just imagine how much better the game will feel with just 60fps.

If going to 60 somehow changed the way Destiny feels (I really doubt it would), I'd be against it. I'd take Destiny 1 over any other shooter despite it running at 30, so I'm good either way.

Yep the pvp would actually feel good

most important is a better tick rate and dedicated servers

Dude, what's wrong with you? Shaxx is the greatest.

You don't want Shaxx to practically orgasm when you go on 10+ killstreaks? :p For real though, they should tone it down a bit. He catches me off guard when I have my headset on

Stuff I actually prefer to turn off. Sounds like a good fit for me considering it's around $40-$50 compared to the Razer/Nacon which are over $100+. Would you say the overall feel is similar to the Xbox One controller (not the Elite, but the regular)? I consider the X1 controller to be the greatest controller ever (IMO). Love the analog sticks, the triggers, and everything else about it.

If you already have an Xbox One controller, I recommend you get one of those brook adapters instead to use your Xbox One controller. Especially if you already have an Elite controller.

Put Destiny on for the first time in probably a year last night and the first thing i thought was damn this game looks amazing and its nearly a launch game for the current generation and it plays perfectly. I am in the boat of 60fps is great, but i also have no issues playing games in 30fps. For Destiny i would much rather have an amazing looking game over 60fps.

Are you me? I 100% agree and have been saying this since the beta when everyone thought Shaxx was a placeholder voice.

After a decade plus of hearing Jeff Steitzer in the Halo games, Destiny's British librarian is quite a buzzkill.

Sol frowns on your backseat shenanigans

Maybe keep Lennie james but let him refer to your shotgun as a 'fucking anti-aircraft gun" every once in a while.

Destiny's visual quality isn't about how many polygons it's pushing though. Its art direction is what really carries its aesthetic.

Let's be honest here, that's not true. Look at how good the BF games look. Dice makes incredible looking games.

I want Destiny to look that good.

god I wish I had an invite..was gonna pre order for beta access.. still might if possible
I preordered off of Amazon already for the PS4 version though I am probably going with PC. I'm keeping the PC4 version preordered until beta codes are released then cancelling and deciding my platform of choice then.

Still doesn't change the fact that the competition both MS and Nintendo and third parties offer more comfortable options and still doesn't make my opinion any less valid other people have similar issues. But hey cool come at me some more about what I feel is or isn't comfortable.

You keep using that word, but you don't seem you understand what "fact" means.

Are you serious? Lennie is the only Shaxx. There can be no Shaxx but Lennie.

I don't think Destiny will look that good in terms of photo-realism. Completely different art styles and direction between the two games.

Shaxx is the best.

I love that instead of just being an announcer, he's an actual character and his personality colors a lot of his narration (as opposed to being neutral/professional, like every other FPS announcer). Dude lives for the Crucible, and is simultaneously excited about the action and bummed he's not taking part in it. It adds so much flavor not only to the Crucible, but to the entire Destiny feeling.

Can't wait to see him free to tear into the Cabal!

So if you weren't a big player on the first Destiny, it doesn't really matter right as nothing transfers?

I only "beat" the first Destiny and that was it, solo too.

I agree, but it can still be a great looking game graphically.

D1 was cross gen and looked passable at the time but other PS4 launch titles were blowing it away. They have a chance this time to really impress.
