I played 1, 2, 3, 9 & 10 on the show floor. Wolf line was always too long. Also looking forward to South Park but I didn't see anything terribly exciting about the demo and I never got around to trying it out. I enjoyed everything I played, but it's a wait and see for Rabbids and I'm not getting MvC for a long time with all its DLC fuckery. 1, 2 and 3 are day 1 purchases.

The biggest announcement, for me, was Metroid Prime 4, but I can't put it on the list because it was really just a floating logo in space.

I am amazed at Dragon ball game looking and playing so good, however the biggest and most well received surprise for me is Monster Hunter World, not only for bringing a new gen for MH to a home console, but also because it is doing good work at giving the western market a reason to pay attention to MH.

1. Spider-Man ; Game looks amazing, especially the animations. What they showed was a little linear but with the huge open world confirmation I have hopes.

2. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ; loved both the first game and Old Blood. The great narrative, style and action work so well and this seems to by carrying it on in heaps.

3. God of War ; continues to look better than it's predecessors in every way largely because Kratos seems like far less of a dick.

4. Monster Hunter World ; loved MH on PSP with friends. Looking forward to rekindling that with the same group again on PS4 :)

5. Mario + Rabbids ; Not a Nintendo fan, will never have a Switch but this just looks great both in it's humour and gameplay. Mario in Overwatch!

6. Vampyr ; this game oozes atmosphere. Really appeals to me in every way. I love Focus Interactive's AA publishings so am happy to support this day one.

7. Horizon Zero Dawn : The Frozen Wilds ; Loved the first game. The story, combat and Aloy were all superb. More of that is a no brainer.

8. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy ; Mainly interested to see the dynamic between Chloe and Nadine. Great characters but quite different.

9. Metro Exodus ; loved the first two games so looking forward to this one a lot. The new bright colour usage in the footage we have seen was welcome.

10. Yakuza Kiwami ; loved Y0 as my first game in the series so having a remake of the original coming in is perfect news (already pre-ordered).

1. God of War - The Setting + narrative Focus are making me more excited for this Franchise than i have ever been.

2. Spiderman - My God does this look good. The Fact alone that Insomniac is developing this game makes it Day One for me. Loved what i saw at the E3 Trailer

3. Kingdom Hearts 3 - Finally a new trailer. Normaly this game would take the Top Spot if the trailer showed us a new world. Well next month then

4. Dragon Ball Fighter Z - the DB Fighter we've always wanted.

5. Anthem - jawdropping. Looks freaking beautiful. wow

6. Days Gone - another mainstream zombie game? Not for me - the whole Package that this game does promise, is the exciting thing about it. Also love the Biker Vibe

7. Ni No Kuni 2 - sad that there are no familiars anymore, tough it still looks like another magical experience. Beautiful graphics and world. Can't wait for it

8. Monster Hunter World - Never played a Monster Hunter Game, but this game looks and sounds fun

1. Super Mario Odyssey ; Don't own a Switch and probably won't for a long time, if ever, but Mario 64 is my favourite game of all time and Odyssey seems like the game i always wanted after 64. Just looks like the jolliest of times, will find a way to play it eventually.

2. Spider-Man ; It's been forever since my last great playing time with Spidey, my second favourite comic book character, i think Insomniac will do it justice from the looks of it, i'm so hyped.

3. A Way Out ; A fantastic idea, on a fantastic setting, made by intelligent and defying people who are passionate about it. In!

4. God of War ; I love this series, i loved even Ascension, but after that, it was the end for me for Kratos as i knew him, it was either bring me something different or end the series... i'm glad they are doing the right thing here.

5. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ; Wolfenstein is still one of the best games i played this gen, and i just can't wait to explore more of this crazy ride.

6. Ni No Kuni II ; It looks so glorious.

7. Kingdom Hearts III ; Square Enix, get your s*** together. It's past time to bring us this game. It looks breathtaking.

8. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds ; My second favourite game of 2017 (a year of dreams for gamers), and of course i'm hyped to another dive in into this story.

9. Star Wars: Battlefront II ; I loved the first one despite the lack of content, and i love the direction this one is taking, listening to the complaints and improving even further.

10. Dragonball FighterZ ; Hype!

Definitely hard to pick just 10 this year. Lots of games I'm excited or intrigued by but few that really blew me away. MP4 and BG&E2 would have been higher if more was shown, I'm not basing this on pure hype alone.

Kingdom Battle was a refreshing surprise for me. I'd written it off as a party game, but instead it looks like an incredibly polished take on X-com (albeit with a world to explore rather than a base to manage). It looks to add plenty of new stuff to the SRPG genre too, and generally seems quite polished.

I don't normally bother with shooters but Wolfenstein interests me- I suppose I'm more interested in those with stories than those focused on multiplayer and games-as-a-service. Mario is always worth a look but it's good to see him back in a game with some great new mechanics.

1. Cuphead - it's been atop my lists for a long time, and I'm elated to have a release date
2. Matterfall - with Nex Machina launching in days, I didn't expect Matterfall news, and definitely not a release within months
3. Ori and the Will of the Wisps - the only thing post-Cuphead that interest me on Xbox
4. God of War - the latest trailer quelled a few fears by showing more hack-and-slash and a bigger sense of scale
5. Days Gone - weaponizing the hoard and the openness of gameplay are intriguing
6. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds - can't wait for more of that world, new enemies, and hopefully more about the main story
7. Unruly Heroes - a promising looking brawler with excellent Ubi-Art-like visuals
8. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - I was let down by UC4, but still impressed with this trailer
9. Spider-Man - not really a Spider-Man fan, but a huge Insomniac fan
10. The Artful Escape of Francis Vendetti - I'd had an eye on it already, but more info gave me a much better idea of what exactly it is

Honorable Mentions:
x Knack 2 - I was underwhelmed by the original, but the sequel seems to have corrected all of my gripes
x Ashen - intrigued by the style, but not sold on the gameplay
x Beyond Good and Evil 2 - the trailer isn't what I envisioned all these years, and was a huge disappointment, but I'm trying to keep an open mind

1. Super Mario Odyssey - GOTY material, the King is back.
2. Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle - Did not expect it to be so good.
3. Days Gone - I am little tired of the Zombie theme but this looks interesting.
4. Ni No Kuni II - One of my favorite games was the first, I am looking to continue the story.
5. Anthem - It could be higher but is developed by BioWare and I don´t like the gameplay of their games (looking at you Mass Effect and Dragon Age).
6. The Evil Within 2 - I love RE4 and this looks in the same alley, getting excited to play it.
7. Metro Exodus - Never played any of the other games in the series but this caught my attention.
8. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - I will probably play the first one to see how it feels the gameplay and mechanics.
9. God of War - I am still not to convinced in the third person view, still the graphics and story seems great.
10. The Last Night - For me it looks insane, I love Cowboy Bebop and the cyberpunk set up looks incredible, great art style and interesting concept.

Wolfenstein at #1 based off of its impressive reveal, exciting tone and setting, demo impressions, faith in the team to deliver and close release.

Super Mario Odyssey also has a striking trailer, looks fascinating and fresh for a Mario platformer but maybe a little aimless? Will still buy a Switch to play it, along with Mario + Rabbids.

Super Mario Odyssey is trailer of the show with God of War close second. Overall this year wasn't as exciting for me as the last few years and the relative absence of indies outside of MS was not welcome.
