Goblin Menace levels are in.
The real question is: with so many games left to play, wtf are you doing on NeoGAF?
What about the multiplayer modes? Magic Mayhem was it?
It's not detecting my internet connection again... I've gone into the Settings and deleted and re-entered and it does not connect... This is what it did before I restarted and everything failed to restart. I feel compelled to restart it, but I'm afraid it will do the same thing again. Ugh...
By the way, is there a way yet to update apps other than opening each, one at a time?
Restart the router/ modem. Unplug it for a bit. I had to do that to get my Wii U to find it, but that has only happened like 2 times and it was before the update.
I can't. I already thought of that, but I can't because the router isn't in my house, it's in my landlady's house. I just won't touch this thing tonight, it'll auto turn itself off in an hour or do whatever it wants. Beyond annoyed at this point... Thank you all, again.
Ok left Wii U updating while I went out. Just got back. Error updating pad. Restarted update, all ok.
Loaded trine 2. Quit to menu. 6 seconds to get back. Better than before by far but still a bot slow.
Loading seems faster for some things. KIRBY VC game loaded about 1/2 the time of ore update. Wii U chat loads wayyyyyy faster.
Woah. Just loaded up browser and got message 'if the edges of the screen ate hidden change in system settings'. Does this mean system wide overscan support ?

I will see you backlog of 30 and raise it by 300 on Steam. With so many quality titles in my backlog I am looking for anything as a must play on U.
By the way, is there a way yet to update apps other than opening each, one at a time?
IIRC that was one of the features in this update. Software will update automatically, and in the background.
edit: not seeing it in the changelog, so maybe I imagined that :|
Whatever you do, don't listen to anyone that says LEGO City. Download any LEGO demo on Steam for an idea of the monotony you will go through time and time again in LCU.I will see you backlog of 30 and raise it by 300 on Steam. Edit: Also, how do I delete all connections and start from the beginning with only one saved? Every time I open the internet settings it attempts to save every single connection I try, I only get the option to delete one when all 6 save-slots are full.

I don't think this was always the case, but I just downloaded the Rayman app and it's automatically installing instead of having me click the install button.
Not really a big change, but I guess it's one less step.
No, I'm just suggesting that he tries out another LEGO demo for the hell of it. What do you think? I own it, and hate it. The story is amusing at times, but the gameplay in the missions are dreadfully boring and the same formula (hence, the reason I suggested the demo), and most of the activities in the open world are locked out until you earn more costumes by playing the boring missions.Have you played LCU? Because I've played multiple Lego game demos across multiple platforms ranging from Star Wars to LotR, and despite those feeling a bit stale even in the demos, LCU kept me hooked all the way to the end.

Yeah, it certainly downloads and also installs the updates in the background -- the next time I opened up Wii Street U just now, it said that the software update was complete, instead of doing the install then like it used to. However, how do I know if one of these apps needs an update? On the 3DS, going to the eShop will notify me of updates and I can queue them up.You're not imagining things. It's part of the "software will install in the background" thing.

I'm trading it to Amazon next week with that +$20 bonus, essentially earning a full refund.
I actually gave it another shot tonight after the update, and was bored to tears within 10 minutes.
Eeeeeeeeeeeyeah. It's definitely keeping stuff on RAM. I looked at that video and used Friends list, took 6 seconds. I was like, What?
Did it again and it matched that 2.8. The best part about it is when you exit, it doesn't even show "Wii U Menu" it just fades back to the actual menu.
Hmm so I was downloading stuff, turned off the system via the pad and it didn't go into standby? I selected it to go there after the update?
Thanks for posting this link, btw. The GameXplain guys are great. I always watch YouTube on my Wii U but right now it's installing the update, so I'm going to have to wait to check this out :/GameXplain posted a really good head-to-head speed test video. You should buy Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and put your gamer skills where you mouth is... go grind through that and see if you ever see your backlog again after doing some online hunts with Gaffers

I knew you wouldn't disappoint me smiles
Did yours turn back to red from orange? It didn't for me so I'm curious if the color change is one-direction at the moment.I think it should take a moment. Like it should go red, then orange after a moment. I'm not sure, mine randomly went from red to orange (and incidentally my Skylanders portal which was plugged into the system lit up) and I turned it on and saw nothing downloading or installing, so I'm not sure exactly what it was doing. Maybe downloading a small random update for a game I haven't played in a while.
Yeah.. that's how opinions work. I never said mine was above anyone elses.I'm not stupid, but given that you didn't explicitly say anything specific about LCU but rather lumped it in with all the other Lego games, and taking into account the posting habits of many people on forums, I legitimately questioned if you had indeed played the game. If you didn't enjoy it, you're entitled to your opinion. But there are plenty of people saying that LCU is by far better than the other Lego games, and stating that all of those opinions are inherently wrong because you disagree just seems a bit short-sighted. Every game isn't for everyone.

Some people like the game, some don't. I suggested that he try out a demo for an idea of the gameplay before blindly buying it based on Nintendo-GAF's recommendation, like I did. That's it.

Holy cow, they fixed the overscan issue for us lowly SDTV owners! Thank goodness!
They should fix the underscan issue next in Wii Mode, WiiStreetU, and the Wii U VC games.
Here's Wii Mode:
