Just out of curiosity, if Sony was bundling FIFA or any other 3rd party title for free, would you consider it moneyhatting or adding value to the system? There seems to be a trend that when Microsoft spends money, they are a terrible company for trying to improve the value of their product, so I want to know if the same logic applies to Sony.

I seriously doubt there are that many people who actually want a camera.
And lets not forget that PS4 will also have several F2P games available like the very good Planetside 2, DC Universe, Warframe, War Thunder, Blacklight Retribution and also multiple games with PS+.

As someone who is already buying both consoles and Fifa 14, this is rad news for me.
I'm guessing that's about 10 people. If xb1 sold a unit without kinect it out outsell the kinect bundle by 100:1 at the least

If it's just a bundle, no. The bundle is still incredibly expensive, free game or not.

Yep. But when you have cash, this is an easy way to try and turn a bad situation around. You can remove the pack-in at some point, you can't increase the price.
Wow msft is on FIRE right now, with the rumors that kinect will get pulled next year and now this will crush it for them in Europe until they can drop the price. Sony could've absolutely taken over europe and Japan and never looked back in one holiday season, but now this changes everything.

That would never happen. The FIFA contract prohibits that and the game is already announced for PS4.
Microsoft are really working over time to get people back on their side. It's certainly working on me, I've went from totally being against the system and actively discouraging people to purchase it to now being open to the idea of getting one myself. Keep up the good work.
Whereas Sony's momentum has faded, and judging by recent rumors it seems to be a conscious decision that they can afford to slow down their train. It's still the platform of choice for me going into next gen by I'd love to be energized by them more at Gamescon.

And wouldn't the Premier League and other Leagues season's almost be over? And wouldn't EA be gearing up to start marketing Fifa World Cup during this time. Interesting scenario a brew'in.

Kinect is included in the bundle so it is an added value. Maybe for you it means nothing, but for the casual audience (the majority of people playing FIFA) can be an important selling point.

I think buying third party exclusivity, time exclusivity in particular, on either platform is a seedy business. It doesn't benefit the consumer in any way, it just takes something away from consumers on a different platform.
The only exception is where the game wouldn't have been made otherwise.
Don't forget to add in the cost of PS+ Sessler.

all my friends play fifa on ps3. fifa on playstaton is huge in europe.
No game bundle will solve that when its still more expensive and less powerfull than a ps4.
