So before I look at some videos and info in this thread...

¿PS4, Dev-kit or PC?

If I can't see a PS4 I don't give a shit... I'm tired alredy of PC moving bullshots... like KZ, AC4, WD or Destiny... (games that will be released in less than 90 days...)
 
I hate wallhacks in every game I've played except for Metal Gear Online, the SOP system made it make sense and it worked very well. There were the skills that lit up the enemy that you shot/shot you for a few seconds, and the Enemy Locators that were very balanced because: they were stationary; the radius was fair; they took the place of your grenades; you only had 2 (3?) per spawn.

The wallhack should only have a radius of about 15ft, it looks to be around 25ft in this.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can "upgrade" your abilities in-game like Honor Badges.

I remember seeing the spawn beacon upgrade in a gameplay video.

Let's hope this 25 foot radius was the final upgraded version of that scan.

And now for those questions...

Squads: No squads featured in this demo that I was aware of. (My initial game was against bots)

Beacons: Were already distributed across the map automatically, didn't check (yet) If I could move them.

Slide and Cover: Yes, it appears to work just like SP. Leaning included (from cover)

Scout and Cloak: For the Scout I was using, it appeared that the right directional pad function activated cloak and knifewielding (no guns).

That's all for now. I'll gather my thoughts on the feel of the game and have better gameplay recorded tomorrow.

Scout sounds forced to carry the knife as soon as you turn invisible. I guess this means you can't snipe while you're invisible anymore? I thought that was perfectly balanced in KZ2, where you were countered by other snipers using spot and scan. There are probably other kinds of cloaking-- I'm guessing there will be one like in KZ2 where you disrupt your cloak if you move, but allows you to carry a weapon

Looks like a typical FPS. If you told me this was Crysis or COD I wouldn't doubt you.

What are the objectives here? I don't see any sort of teamwork. It also seems like GG is continuing the trend of abilities turning you into super soldiers like in KZ3. In KZ2, aside from the assault boost pill, every ability was meant to help the team in some way (spawn nades, turrets, health packs, revive, etc). Currently uninterested.
I agree that it looks like a very standard fps regarding the gameplay. The art design has gotten a massive step up for me though. I love the look of the trees. It reminds me of Mirrors Edge and parts of Halo Reach. I do wish it was doing something to stand out with the gameplay. Maybe a different mode or the owl will make it unique somehow.

Also, that map gives me a Syndicate vibe, so I'm loving this game even more now.

yeah not playing any lobbies with that shit enabled, is their any way to counter it, like in KZ2 spot and mark only worked for people you actually saw

Yes you could counter it in KZ3 with a Marksman. I gather they will bring back the ability to jam S&M in some form or another in Shadow Fall.

Ignorance is bliss? I've watched the B-roll multiplayer footage a couple of times and it looks incredible to me. What is meant by aliasing issues and dithering? Same as jaggies or something else completely?

about the aliasing: judging from the pax videos, the players seem to stand directly in front of the hdtv's. even at 1080p, standing right in front of a 36 or 40 inch tv, will make things look fuzzy.

on top of that, the tv's at theese events are usually pretty badly calibrated.

This is an old version for sure. Its missing all the cool particle effects and notice how the bullet casings are missing as the gun fires....both were present in the trailer

From all the GC footage I've watched it seems like almost seems like there are 3 different builds we've seen footage from for MP. The version Shu played on stage (which is probably the same as this one), the MP reveal trailer (some more effects than the playable version), and the 6 minute one.

Yo yo yo, test out the abilities please? See if weapons are class specific? Videotape the spawn menus (so I can see the weapons, honor badges, etc).?

I really want to see what the honor badges all are, the abilities/upgrades, etc.

Would that mean that the version with the framerate issues is probably the most stable at the moment, which is why it's the one being shown to the public? A lot of people aren't that good at discerning drops in framerate, but everyone will notice when a game crashes, so it would make sense if that were the case.

My guess as well. Worst case scenario is that the one with the unlocked framerate is what the 60fps build is going to be. Only GG knows for sure.

There are drones and spawn beacons.

I really miss the KZ2 look.

The super saturated colors just don't fit and feel kind if tacky.
They've said there are much grittier environments in the game. We still haven't seen the Helghast part of the city. It seems like they're making a point of showing the newer, more colorful stuff now to appeal those who wanted more variety.

nah this game is looking like what KZ3 should have been, the only reason your drawing cod comparisons is probably becasue everyone playing it are playing it like they would COD, wait until the actual true fans of the franchise get a hold of it, it'll be just like old times (I hope) any word of clan matches and valor system returning

Well then I guess KZ2 was CoD because Blood Gracht, Radec, Tharsis etc etc. Stop talking out of your ass and lets wait until we get to see more maps and people playing the game properly.
 
I like that the Spawn Beacons will be destructible. It is a happy medium from the spawn grenades in KZ2 where you couldn't destroy them, and the immovable beacons in KZ3.

Hopefully, this will cut down on the spawn campming.

ADS is seemingly effective though. It wasn't really like that in KZ2. Haven't seen non-ADS firing, but I'm hoping it's like KZ2. It means nothing until they add in the recoil, which I still am skeptical they will do to proper effective.

It wasn't at all in KZ2 because of the lag.The only way to play was to NEVER look down sights.

The framerate seemed much more solid this time. Almost always 60 with occasional drops. I don't know what the deal was yesterday. I tried out a bunch of weapons, but most of the abilities appear to be locked for this demo. It was just the turret, shield, and revive bot, which you can use to remotely revive allies. The shield seems a little bit cheap. Most of the assault weapons take 5-6 bullets to kill, and the semiauto sniper took 3 bullets to kill.

Thanks for the impressions again, you are a veteran gaf hero bro.

I suspect the framerate is more unstable than usual because you are playing against bot, but the almost always 60 fps reinforces my optimism.

If there is any one I trust when they say "Targeting 60fps" it is Guerrilla Games. They are Gods at this stuff.
