Sometimes I wonder if they should have just left this as a Kinect title. I feel like they changed it because MS was hell bent on showing gamers at E3 that X1 wasall about games and they replaced Kinect motions with QTE as a result and now the game is just being rushed on the changes because of it.

Can't say I'm totally surprised, the way the single player handled looked visually appealing, but seeing as this is Crytek's first game that isn't an FPS, I never expected anything more than a heavy/medium/light attack centric system of gameplay. Disappointing but nothing out of the blue as far as I'm concerned. If anything's it's more of a tech demo of what the XB1 is capable of achieving visually.

Surely this is not correct. Surely they didnt change it from a Kinect game between console reveal and E3.

I doubt it. I know it was changed from Kinect title but certainly not this year.

Watching that gif, are they going to add any blood? I wouldn't normally demand blood and gore in a game, but it just doesn't look right when this Gladiator is slashing the shit out of the enemy with his sword, and there's nothing. Like they're using rubber swords.

I'd rather see it like Bushido Blade where getting nailed with a sword causes you to lose use of the limb, and a single strike could be fatal.

With just that... this game could have left everything else about it in and it would be leaps and bounds past what they have in appeal.

Would be interesting to play such a game in a large group fight. Imagine how good your games ai would have to be. Would look pretty next gen.... i'm sure.

it is unfinished code... like with all these next-gen games... I fully believe it will look good when it comes out.

It's astounding that MS is letting them preview this pile of crap. This needs to be delayed until mid 2014 at least and revamped completely. The idea and potential is great, but they risk wasting it by insisting on releasing this game too early.

So this game is the richmans "Chivalry" I can't tell if the multiplayer is the tacked on element or is it the Single player? (of ryse). Chivalry looked miles ahead on the multiplayer front. Oh well the Launch line-up cycle will NEVER break, not even with a billion dollars.
