don't get to ahead of yourself there. Remember there were shortages for the ps3 back in the day.

At the end of the day we will know in little over 2 months.


For all we know this palletes could be of something else. This is not a post from a Sony rep but a leaked photo from a factory.


I'll take both Sony and MS production success with a grain of salt until we see the actual launch. We have been burned by both companies before.

How long does it typically take for something like to ship overseas from China?

I mean they could ship them by air, but that is quite a bit more expensive so how much longer do they have to manufacture them if they want them to get to the U.S. and Europe on time?

Coming from a previous 360 Owner for YEARS (PS3 for exclusives - Recently my main) I could write a few paragraphs why I hate everything about MS now and their console. PS4 all the way

usually by boat. several days before the PS3 was release, I knew of a cargo boat in New York that had 30+ PS3 stolen by employees and sold to student in DeVry College and other colleges in New York. I wasn't able to get one My classmate was telling me because he got one for $1300+. Bad thing was he didn't have any games until the actual release.

Depends on where the destination is!

China to UK is 3 to 4 weeks I believe.

Sony used air freight and sea freight for the PS2 to help with demand, maybe they'll do the same again.

Says 1 million from that factory, in what time frame is that time frame happening. Because 1 million is a big fucking number to produce unless they are like a 1 million sq foot factory lol. Also I wonder how many factories are contracted out to produce PS4 right now

Over one million produced per month is the goal.

Multiple factories is the new takeaway for me. A lot of PS4 systems are currently being mass produced.

I remember Jack Tretton saying they want PS4 to hit the ground running from day one. With the massive hype the PS4 is currently receiving Sony needs all those systems for November.

I'm going out on a limb and saying three units per box. Given the slim size and lack of a power brick, it would make sense. Looks like 20 cartons per skid. So 60 units per skid.

I think it's been clear for sometime that Sony was ahead of Microsoft in the manufacturing game. We will find out just how far on Monday when Sony will announce launch plans for Japan (and probably rest of Asia).

Sony is currently manufacturing in:
1) Yantai, China (Foxconn plant - probably where these pictures are from)
2) Kisarazu, Japan (Sony plant)

And Brazil too I believe.
