PS4 mass production is happening (Leaked pictures on Chinese board)

Penello made some mistakes, but I wouldn't liken them to a plane crash.

I don't think that's a real plane crash, it looks like CGI.

Are people shocked about the Xbox One hardware being seemingly inferior? I thought that by the spec sheet it was pretty obvious that the One would be underpowered compared to the PS4. It seems like the PS4 will have more muscle and it's likely going to be easier to develop for as well.

They have their version of truth and reality. They hope others accept it without knowledge or research.

This is what has been apparent to many even based on the credible rumours before the PS4 was even announced. But there are some who are just clinging to the "Sony said the same last time lol" or "xbone is more efficient" defense.

Fortunately we have at least seen the end of the "but Microsoft wouldn't let Sony be more powerful/be chraper/be out first/whatever" defense. That one did roll on for a good long while though.

Apparently Xbox One can magically get 500Gflops more out of the hardware whereas PS4 sits on its laurels. Therefore...

..PARITY!!!

Ok why are people givingattention to this Penello guy? It says this in his Twitter profile.

Old school games industry marketer and planner. Leads planning for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Kinect.

Why would you take anything he says at face value? Sounds like a marketing shill to me.

Why haven't we seen a noticeable difference already between the two?
We have, it's called Infamous: Second Son. The true metric, however, will be the multiplat games and EA already admitted that NFS will look better on platform over the other, the Witcher 3 devs have said the same.

I assume because he keeps posting on gaf to "clarify" things.

because we've mostly only seen first party games - which are apples and oranges for comparison, and multiplatform games generally on one platform, so we have no basis for comparison.

We need to see a few multiplatform games side by side, so really we'll be waiting until November 22nd before we can compare anything (bit earlier if digital foundry can get hold of software)

Heh, guess the people who helped make Gears of War Judgment are not worth knowing.

Tomorrow he'll come back saying he now knows who People Can Fly are, and whilst they don't support People Can Fly, Microsoft apparently have something similar to People Can Fly that are just as good.

You forgot to include The Order 1886 in that as well. Double whammy!

But I thought the fire cancelled next Gen!?!?

There is enough memory production available to meet demand. The console makers need to have long-term contracts in place, because they need to be able to get these memories years from now even if the industry has moved on to another technology. The console makers will not be much affected. The people who pay spot prices will be most affected.

i see it like this: its a first person view of the pad looking at its reflection and the rain, so the pad is inside

The lack of reflected WiiU text, and the transparency of the pad, are both indicators that the pad is on other side of the glass.

It's a shop window. The WiiU is outside in the rain looking in. The PS4 and X1 are inside on display, chatting and drinking some hot chocolate.
