I can break down teh first couple of steps.

Denial: not true game will look/run the same.
Anger: mad at ms for making a weak console or developer for half ass port. Pre-order cancelled.
bargaining: It will get better after launch once the bugs get work out and devs can master the powerful esram. Only a temporary problem...

I agree. I feel like I'm going to be pegged as a MS cheerleader now lol, when I have a PS4 launch edition preordered and don't want an Xbone til Titanfall. But yall are really worked up over two suspect rumors?

This fucking killed me. I am actually laughing out loud.

On topic: I don't know why any of this is surprising. They forced their last console out early knowing they were all defective just to get a sales lead early in the gen. Their plan is clearly just throw something out there, FUD hard and fast, dump cash on it until the problem goes away.

Full disclosure: I have an Xbox One pre-ordered.

I can see where you are coming from. If the news was something along the lines of "online play will NOT be ready for launch" I would be more worked up. That is concrete. But to hear that a company is having issues (as big as they may be) ahead of a product launch, and these issues may or may not be sorted out in time...I dunno. I have had experiences in the workplace where everything up to a product launch ended up being crazy, with just about everything that could go wrong going wrong, and yet the final product would end up executing just fine because we worked around the clock to get done what needed to get done regardless of the roadblocks.

I don't mind knowing these current issues but I'm not going to go out and cancel my pre-order. My guess is everyone at the Xbox division is working around the clock to make sure that these issues are resolved in time for launch. That may mean they end up being 100% resolved or only 25% resolved and it's a giant cluster F. My point is that I don't think the system should be judged based on this. I'll judge the system when it launches because that's when we'll know just how much of this is still an issue. And if it does turn out to be disastrous, which it very well could, I'll just return it.

Ended up writing a bit more than I meant to @_@.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were being played on PC's with X1 controllers

Although I do find this to be disapointing, it is ultimately a temporary issue and as long as its cleared up by March 11th, Ill be fine. Im a veteren to many MMO laubches, so I have become desensitied to this sort if stuff.

The funniest part to me us the twitter war Morts wife is in the middle of. Some of her tweets are hillarious but extremely cringeworthy.

And sometimes, obvious changes don't occur till a good year later and even then the change is half assed. See Windows 8 to Windows 8.1.

The demo stations are not what you think they are - they lock out OS functionality and only run the game demos. And I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Jeff knows that they exist.

I love how these "professionals" try to pass themselves off as a superior authority on the subject, when we all really know that they are on a very tight leash with what they can and cannot say.

Like CBOAT and mortimer are just making up this stuff for shits and giggles? Their info seems a lot more real than any of the sickening PR spin you get from Major Nelson et al.

Assuming this is true, im pretty sure MS is going to make sure they have it fixed before launch (big day 1 patch?). Their workers will be on crunch time
