I thought that shit was ridiculous with midnight stuff the last year or so, but soon Black Friday will be on Wednesday at this rate.

Went from not getting next gen for a while to getting next gen launch day. Glad I didn't cancel my pre-orders from June even though I'm broke as hell. Did a MASSIVE EB trade to get the whole system paid for (except for $9) in store, cancelled the in store to get value on a gift card, paid off online order with gift card. Here we fucking go.

And if that Futureshop shit pans out (lol) I'll have CoD, Battlefield and AC4 to play on launch day.

I'm also curious. Our (Canadian) flyer says Midnight Launch check Walmart.ca for participating stores, but I go to the website and there is no info anywhere.

edit: Nevermind I found the Canadian list on the site.

The people that do the stock counts for bestbuy work monday - friday morning hours. So shes been off all weekend, BUT I was coming here to post that i just texted my gf the 4 or 5 store numbers and shes gonna email me back the preorder number and the amount they have on order to receive. Might be after 5pm EST before i get it from her. She stays pretty busy at work :(

First number is how many they are getting, 2nd is the amount of preorders... These numbers are pretty low compared to some of the ones ive seen in other states, but regardless on average around 10-20% that wont be for preorders. So plan accordingly guys...

If those are Best Buy's numbers then yeah that is in line with my area.

Around 250 pre orders, getting in 270 or so. Maybe 15-20 units for walk ins. So basically you go to best buy, if you see a line of 20 people, walk away, dont waste your time.

why can't they do something like this in their site, just tell how many units are available for walk-ins

My little bro works at bestbuy here in nyc (86th lex) said the store has 348 preorders and the store has 400 consoles and is still recieving more.. Is it still possible that stores are still recieving more shipments??

More than likely NO. atleast not at launch. Most of the units arrived today or tomorrow. so what you see is what you get for the first batch..

I hope these numbers are in fact correct (them getting more than they sold pre-orders for). I'll be pissed if I don't line up and they sell my pre-ordered system to someone else. I was one of the first.

Not necessarily though. Even people who have pre-orders are likely going to line up, so if he sees 20 people, they might not all be people hoping to score one w/o a pre-order. Never underestimate people's desire to among the first ones in line; remember that Triforce dude?

I would have gone crazy watching you all unbox your PS4s while I was listing mine on Craigslist.

And now, for the first time, I will allow myself to be truly jacked-the-fuck-up for Friday.

You know, I'm really glad for you Americans, but it bothers me a bit that various European retailers have already confirmed that pre-orders placed after August will be delivered in December.

At the same time, US stores get more PS4s than that they have pre-orders.

Yes, I'm jealous. :p
